I think Nash will be the next centre back. Itās not an issue yet anyway, I donāt see Hannon going anywhere in the next three years.
Number 7 for the next 10 years. His best position all things being equal.
If Limerick stick with the current style of play, Kyle Hayes will not be 6, ever.
In the current style, Hannonās successor is Barry Nash.
Hannon, as he showed once again when the fat was in the fire on Sunday last when he dominated his patch for the last quarter and continously demanded the ball in those frantic closing stages, aināt going anywhere anytime soon, thank God. A true leader of men.
In fairness, ye have no shortage of them at the minute
True, but Hannon is the guy. He is absolutely revered within the group. A truly superb captain of that group of players.
He can play anywhere. I rather see him bomb up the field leaving a trail of destruction in his wake while the ball is over the bar or in the net
And balance it all with work
This score got a bit lost amongst everything from Sunday. What a fucking point. Was fully deserving to win the match, before the other moment of magic followed.
An unreal score. No time to think, received it and BOOM. I was up the back of the Old Stand and spent half the game on my feet anyways but I went buck-ape for that one.
I was at the back of 204, i honestly dont think Iāve ever experienced noise like it and for it to be almost consistent throughout the game.
Hannon has his hand up calling for that ball early. Lesser players would have shirked it. He wanted that ball.
Hannon is an incredible leader, Limerick are lucky to have him. And to think it could have been so different given the difficulties with the set up and finding a position for him not so long ago. I was speaking to someone who bumped into him the other day in Laois and he couldnāt have been more impressed with him and how he gave of his time to youngsters who were milling around him when they heard him and Lynch were knocking around at that team building event.
Truth be told, thats an incredible bunch as a whole. Sure thereās a pup or two, but for the most part they are incredible ambassadors for their clubs, county and people. Its a special group in a special time. Enjoy it.

Demanding the ball for 10 seconds before he gets it. Scruff of the neck stuff. He did that brilliantly in the final stages. Give me the fuckin ball.
He did similar v Cork in 2018 when we needed him most.
An unbelievably under rated player outside of Limerick. Anyone with their eyes open know heās not easily replaced at 6
And he calling for the ball heās a diamond
Hannon is a sound fella too. Doesnāt go around courting publicity which is always a great trait.
To be honest, thereās none of them pups. Not even the ones with the āreputationsā are pups.
Weāve had plenty of pups and troublemakers in the past to know one when we see one.
He deserves everything he achieves in the game I first saw him in 2009 in NaPs first county final as a 16 year old and you just knew he was special, a rocky period for a while post 2013 but in my opinion the greatest Limerick hurler since Mick Mackey
Theyāre an extraordinary group of talented hurlers that represent the county and city of Limerick unbelievably well.
A hurley is in every young lads hand now across the whole county due to them.
Itās great to see.
I think that dead rubber game in 2019 v tipp is the only time weāve lost a championship game both Gillane and Flanagan have started.
