Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

I agree . He is a fantastic hurler. He’s very much the modern archetypal hurler. Has all the attributes.

Finer points… You’ll be joining the lads on premier view screaming about Limerick throwing the ball next.

The Drom man is box office.

Nearly as many as the opposition players hanging off him every time he makes a break.

Unless Limerick hit a bad day by Nickie Quaid (highly unlikely), have a man or two sent off (hmmm…) and/or hit 16 to 20 wides (possible), they are out in front a distance. I do not reckon even Lynch’s absence would be the difference between winning and losing. Those other factors would be bigger.

Can anyone currently break down the Limerick half back line and midfield for 75 to 80 minutes? Getting hard to see, although the seven game route is still there as wisps of rising mist.

In fairness, hego is probably the dirtiest player outside Tyrone.

Fair enough. When a neutral man like yourself puts it that way we should all stand back and listen.

You are really getting rattled now.

As it happens, I was asked, via the sort of hapless judgement that makes tall ugly women wear lurid eye shadow, to retweet Sewerview’s call to arms on ‘throwing’.

I would rather drink Smithwicks.

You’re second paragraph says a lot. Tipp broke it last year but only for 35 mins. You almost have to have plan A to beat them then Plan B when they re adjust. Last night was very interesting. Waterford threw everything but Limerick we’re able to reset. After the two goals Limerick completely shut down the puck out. I’d like to see the stats on that.

And there, at least, we can agree.

I am sure GH is not bothered. He appears to have the sang froid of a gunfighter, which I also admire.

You’ll know when I’m rattled. I’m too tired from chasing a 2 year old around playworld for half the day to be rattled. Plus Celtic won and SF are gonna unite the country, so, you know…

GH is nothing like as dirty, in a way, as Rory O’Connor, another tremendous hurler.

And the flake SeĂĄn Finn hit on Shane Kingston was like a Russian agent with poison.

Although I do not at all consider SF dirty. SK must have hit him some sort of rap before that moment.

Well, I will give you admiration on that front. 'Tis the most important job in the world. We are all, in the end, a mammal.

You’d want to be blind as a non Limerick supporter to not have Hegarty at the top of near the top of players you would love playing on your team. However you’d have to be equally as blind as a Limerick supporter to not see he’s the filthiest player in the country.

Hegarty is like the lad off the britvic ad.

Afraid you have lost me there…

Hegarty is turning into a real cult figure.

Outside of the match winning displays, the skill, the All-Ireland’s etc it’s the sheer seethe he generates which is the best thing.

Big Bad Hego. He drives lads demented.

Id be interested on your thoughts on Waterford last night. I felt they had a huge opportunity which they failed to take and are now in a precarious position

I must go back and watch it again because I don’t think they did, apart from a couple of purple patches they were quite poor.

Beat Limerick now and they won’t be beaten again.
