The new pitch in Knockaderry must be the best surface in Limerick atm.Its beautiful.
It would want to be to be fair. They were closed for over 2 years?
Theyāve a fine setup there now,a massive astro and ball wall too.A walk way around the pitch for the auld milfs to knock a few lbs off while the youngsters are training. It will be lit up at night .Also the pitch is floodlit.
That must have cost some money. Youād be talking 500k easy.
Without a doubt.Did they get big money off the windmill crowd?
Darragh Brooks? Yeah heās still in goal.
Thatās him
I havenāt been back there recently; it used to be an awful bog.
There was hardly a good pitch in the west for 50 years. Hillside bogs and poor ground the lot of them.
Players wanted the bigger pitch in GG.
Thereās a brand new pitch there now.Its the best surface Iāve been on this year anyways.Unreal.
Somehow only a draw game at HT despite playing most of the football.
We definitely did struggle on our own kickouts against the wind and started poorly as a result but, after that, we took over in reality.
Scored three goals, should have been four and went six up. But Wexford finished with a couple more two-pointers and a goal off our kickout.
There is a strong wind blowing into the City End and Wexford kicked 5 two-pointers in total. Weāll have to do the same in the second half but Wexford look very vulnerable defensively.
Very decent win, didnāt use the wind for 2-pointers as much as Wexford did but we shut out their scoring options.
Always looked like we could score goals.
I knew we would be a good bit better than we were in the league final but Wexford donāt seem to have improved at all.
Hopefully Tony Mac is okay. I know Kildare are good but theyāre not unbeatable either.
A raft of next weekendās championship games will be postponed now. Probably just desserts for Frankās lack of faith in Jimmy Leeās boys.
Would they not pull them all?
Really should never be fixed that early in the first place, defeats the entire purpose of the split season tbh (I realise weāre very short on weekends but there are one or two free).
Most likely they will. St. Patrickās were already free as Hego is involved with the hurlers (played your lot in a very good challenge game during the week, by the way)
The 3 Junior competitions could probably go ahead alright although a few intermediate games couldnāt be played - Pallas v Senans, for example.
I thought Patās were quite wasteful the other night, could have been out-of-sight at half-time. Young Hego caused us awful problems on kickouts.
We probably should have won in the end but gave up a bad penalty.
Weāll definitely need to be a lot better against the likes of NCW though. Hard to read Patās in terms of county prospects, Hego would bring a huge amount. Some decent young players alright, although Shay McCarthy must be some loss too in the past few years, he used to destroy us at U-21 when he was only 17/18.
Yeah, I saw it. Nash, McCarthy and Downes will make a big difference when available. Davy Fitz was moving well, I thought. Patās were short a couple as well, I think. Shane Cross did a lot of damage carrying ball as the game wore on and the full-foward was a good ball striker, donāt know his name.
Pats were planning on going ahead without Hego next week I think. Itās all irrelevant now anyways.
Triple header in croke park next week?
