Iāll never forget a Tipp mate of mine proudly proclaiming in 2016 that Cian Lynch had been āfound outā and would ānever cut it.ā I know Tipps donāt watch much hurling but Jesus Christ like
Watching the highlights of NCW and Mungret thereā¦are the majority of both teams players duel players ? Or would they have a lot that are hurling / football only?
Maybe Iām expecting a bit too much out of him. Just felt the game was over when he came into it. The Croagh Kilfinny midfield dominated in the first half. Itās all the one anyway, it wouldnāt have made that much of a difference to the result!!
Did Limerick really vote to allow Cork be seeded?
Ah lads. They donāt give a fuck about ye football lads
Did we not beat the eventual All Ireland champions at minor in 2023? That was a very strong minor team.
But minor isnāt a great barometer for senior anymore regardless- look at Galway winning 4 All Irelands in a row, and very few of them have developed into stars; a few good solid lads alright.
U-20 is a better marker but only if teams arenāt hamstrung by senior players being unavailable to train.
NCW would have a decent amount of dual- 10 who played last night played the first football game. And thatās with Diarmuid Kelly abroad & Nix injured; no RuadhĆ”n OāConnor either.
Mungret would have less- a good few would be on both panels but think it was only 3 who played last night who played football. Brian Barry injured afaik.
Iād swear they did the same the last time it happened.
Few extra tickets for the hurling sorted for the lads
Clearly no upside to doing this from a limerick perspective. The players have been disrespected
Ballybrown playing the two giants on the edge of the square, a goal each already
If you think the uptick in our senior performances from 2018 had nothing to do with our strong showing at minor level from 2013 on, youāre about as bright as you come across here.
HT: Ballybrown 3-8 Ahane 0-14
Two goals for Bryan Griffin, one for Barry Adams both just standing on the edge of the square. Dan looked fairly shaky tbh, uncharacteristic errors.
The younger Ahane fellas have actually been very prominent: John OāConnor particularly but also Jack Cosgrove & Conor Ryan. Tom & CiarĆ”n Barry have two from play each too.
You just dont get it fella.
Tis fukin football
Of course, and youāre not a footballing county. Iām agreeing with you.
Another goal for Barry Adams.
Goal number 5- Aido.
Keeper maybe could do better. Ahane being physically bullied.
Donāt think the scoreline is a fair reflection of the overall game but BB deffo got well on top midway through second half. Ahane have some nice young players⦠Cosgrove and John Oāconnor both look like prospects⦠but they are missing that bit of power to get on top physically which BB has in abundance.
AOC was good - was all.over the field.
But a good clatter of those goals were poor from a defensive point of view.
Tom Morrissey still class at this level⦠Coughlan very ordinary.
Colinās not a 3 by any stretch.
Ahane were definitely bullied physically, well-beaten on their own puckout. And couldnt deal with the men on the edge of the square, and didnāt really create any goal chances of their own.
John OāConnor did look very good for Ahane.
Ballybricken beat Patrickswell 2 today by a goal which doesnāt seem great on paper
Itās great for the county to have a manager like Lee who stands for the right thing and is a great role model for others.
