Limerick GAA 2024-25

He’ll be turned on like them all. It’s just how it is.

There’s no evidence underage club or schools anyone is coming through all the players in 2018 had won u21 all Ireland or won Harty cups or been key players on NaPiarsaigh and Killmallock teams

Any word on who played tonight? 2 weeks till the NHL kicks off. Interesting year ahead I think

The core players are on the go nearly 10 years. There will be more bad days than good in the next few years but they can still mount a decent challenge if the hunger is there.

Four Championship Regulars played, Kyle Centre Back, Cian Centre Forward, Hego Wing, Flanagan Full.

I think the team was
Gillane
FOC, Sean Casey, Vince Harrington
Coughlan, Hayes, Thomas
Murphy, Fintan Fitz
AOC, Lynch, Hego
O’Farrell, Seamus & Hugh Flanagan

Eddie Stokes was impressive off the bench. Not sure if it was VH at corner back.

Would he be dominant enough in the air?

Think it was Ronan Lyons

How did O’Farrell go?

I’d say they’ll give Hayes a go there. Too easy cut him out of games at half. Every team last year basically just completely avoided his side of the field all day

Set up a point in the first half when he got the delivery he requires. Struggled a bit to win his own ball.
Subbed for Paddy O’Donovan and then replaced Hego for the last 10. Think he set up another point in that spell.

Either six or eleven

With pace being an issue there last year I’d say he will be the solution. Maybe they’ll swap himself and Hannon. Hayes would be a completely different animal at centre back though. You’d lose the cover the full back line got from Hannon. But you gain a lot going forward

I’m not sure he’d be able
To go forward as much at six which is a big asset,

Laois were awful I heard.

That is certainly the trade off. He’s naturally on the front foot, so asking him to sit would take a lot away from his game. But we need pace there and he’s unrale. He’d ate up ball there and there would be no avoiding him.

I imagine in the League we’ll see variations of Hayes, WOD, CON and Hannon at 6
WOD at 6 allows English to slot into midfield and frees Hayes to 7 or 11.
Eddie Stokes had a lovely cameo in the second half.

There’s rumours of playing with no 6 too.

Better than none I suppose.

Hannon is going in goals
