Having watched it back Gillane and Bull were better on second viewing in the first half. Should have had 3 points each but for poor sides. One of the days they will explode you would hope and score 3-8 between them.

Watching Casey’s excellent cameo he might be the man for Rabbitte - he’s as strong as an ox.
Dan was very jittery and thrown about by Duggan a few times, which was unlike him.

Some of the play out from our fullback line in first half was shocking, Finn turned down a simple pass to Quaid to puck ball out over sideline, followed by Dan finding the sideline also with a simple pass.

You know a decision against Limerick is egregious when even Duignan thinks it was a foul. He’s still screaming for a phantom free for Kilkenny in the lead up to Tom Morrisey’s late score in 2018

Galway are a big conundrum for limerick - will they let us have the ball up to 45 yard line on puckouts like they gave Cork?

The mixed it up well v Cork. Meehaul has them primed for multiple game plans depending on the game state

They seemed happy to give up long range opportunities to cork who didn’t seem to want to take them on. Any game you see SOD solo-ing in you know cork are fucked.

Not sure Limerick have the long range potency of old. Hannon is gone, Hego is spending more time in the trenches, Tom’s on the bench and AOC likely to go inside. Byrnes and CON are volume shooters but not always efficient.

I think when they were going accross the field a bit first half, someone could’ve made a cheap few yards with a solo andpositioned themselves for some potshots but there weren’t really any outstanding candidates so they didn’t. Coleman is a very pure striker but I don’t think he is that long.

Darragh Fitz and Tim were probably the two, both can strike from ditance but it isn’t their first instinct like a Dalton who is obviously a huge player from distance or a Diarmuid Byrnes. Pros and cons to it but Galway were utting no pressure on the ball. Cork were doing fine at the time and it looked like Big Brian Hayes haad his man on toast, by the by now I spose

Ah they did multiple times,there were cork men refusing to shoot with space from between the 65 and 45.Galway were happy to let them have it and sit back.

Even still I don’t remember Cork players being allowed any freedom once they crossed the 45
