That Kilmallock have a a siege mentality worse than Tyrone?

Junior A, where dreams go to die

Hard to believe Claughaun were senior hurling not that long ago.

De blame lies with the county board

Why is that now?

It was 2012 i think they went down? Essentially an entire generation have now been junior hurlers. Really don’t know how they revive it.

Ye are making the GG more of a fortress than Na Piarsaigh. Hail hail

1986 the last year they won a county

Went over road into Balbec Doon tonight. Thought Graeme Mul gave a fantastic display roaming around the middle, age is just a number. And some people here tipped them to go down

Double relegation in 2010 according to Wikipedia

The proposed amalgamation of the three southside clubs wouldn’t have made any difference a few years ago I’d say

Kilmallock have started like a train. It does feel like they are on it way more this year than they were last year.

Doon again just never seemed to get out of second gear; they were going along okay without being spectacular but the red card killed any chance of a comeback.

Graeme Mul was superb again. OOR a real threat inside- scored a brilliant goal and won a penalty. His brother worked his socks off beside him.

SOB motoring very well. Always an outball.

COC again read the play brilliantly; Jackie Dwane was very good at the back for such a young fella. Gearoid Enright looked very lively when he came on. Pierce Connery is picking up some amount of loose ball and he’s deadly accurate when he has space.

Chanley is very sharp in goal; his puckouts are excellent and he controls the tempo very well- knows when to get it out quick and knows when to slow it down.

Darragh O’Donovan led well for Doon tbf to him. His brother was their main scoring threat driving forward from deep. Coughlan took another goal very nicely but found it more difficult tonight. Adam was limping around a bit but had some moments of top quality at the same time.

I don’t see a situation where Doon don’t make the knockouts but to win it, they will need Barry Murphy, Eddie Stokes, Jack Ryan (who came on for a few mins tonight and got a yellow card within seconds ). Senior debut for Darragh Coughlan too.

Theyre doing well to keep the club going in truth, the demographics around there are brutal

Cian O’Donovan did well also. Four points (I think) from play and nearly set up a goal towards the end.

Why would we play Cork in the first round again? Do the fixtures not normally move by 1 round each year?

No. That’s the formula as per previous years

This year our bye week was round 1 and the Cork game was round 2. Round 1 this year becomes round 5 next year so the cork game will be round one and we play straight through without the bye.

I think they won the double in 86.

Forgot that part. That makes more sense.
