Limerick GAA - All-Ireland senior hurling champions 2018

Exactly - Casey and Gillane playing off the Dow… The real stuff starts now.

They would set the heather ablaze potentially.

Given that Hickey is in there, he’ll make it no bother.

Felt sorry for Hickey on Saturday. He went to control one ball, it bounced off his hurley and went about two foot over his head. Was duly grabbed by a Carlow lad and tipped over the bar.
He wasn’t up to the pace at all

Every single player bar the Morrisseys was shit against Clare.

Because there is serious competition for places, obviously players are liable to be dropped if they play poorly. But simply not scoring won’t be the reason… Poor first touch very possibly could be.

We have racked up massive tallies in every game bar the Clare one. And that was due to work rate dropping- the players weren’t making the same runs to get into space and the deliveries were also poorer.

This other blather about non-hurling areas is just nonsense really.

The Morrissey’s and lynch.

Lynch was totally taken out of the Clare game by being swarmed … did very little.

Form. If you were to drop players on the basis of form v Clare they would be the first to go. This will be the biggest test of Gillane, I don’t know if he will get much change out of Murphy.

The one thing we have going for us is Kilkenny will be knackered and it will be hard for them to get back up for this game in only a week, that will skew things.

He was one of the few who didn’t disappear, he was great.

I’d put a lot more blame at management’s door for Clare …

be interesting to see what they do this week if KK emulate Clare and decide to take Lynch out of the game - if they are double/triple teaming him then we have to have free players in other positions. We need to use such treatment on Lynch as a positive, as it’s something we will see a lot more of…

Big calls at full-back and midfield. Massive calls really. The safety net is gone this time, it could be a very deflating Sunday evening if the year is gone from us after so much promise.

Casey vs Mulcahy is probably the only call to make up front, and it is marginal. I don’t foresee any surprises outside of that.

Kiely will i think go with Richie Mc at full back.Playing him there against Carlow had to be a signal to get a full match into him.
Deccie Hannon will have top stay deep meaning Kyle and Cinneide* will have to drop to deny TJ Reid space.

In the full forward line I think he will start with Gillane, Flanagan and …Mul Only just

Did Flanagan play very deep against Carlow? It sounded like he spent a lot of time out around the middle. I don’t see him getting much change out of Walsh but if the game plan is that he plays further out that would explain the call.

Liam Aherne just tweeted that it’s Cork.

Sure you were told that last week.
@anon32894817 was the only one pedaling the Croke Park line and he was told he was wrong on numerous occasions.

I know that but you also cant underestimate the stupidity of the GAA… I was waiting to hear of a double header in Thurles.

2pm Sunday in Cork.
