Limerick GAA - All-Ireland senior hurling champions 2018

Blackrock or City End Terrace for the Cork game? Think the Limerick Terrace was the City End in the Munster Final a few years back?

Would you not give the legs an auld break copper and go into the stand?

Id expect a massive crowd now for the Cork game regardless of their result against Tipp this weekend.Limerick will bring 10-12k down now the bandwagon is dusted off.

They won’t becuase it’s a bank holiday I bet.

Will he have enough time to recover from his pretend hamstring injury?

Galbally GAA weekly notes posted very early today.

GALBALLY GAA CLUB NOTES

In Galbally village, the Tipperary border lies at the speed limit as you exit the village, adjacent to the former residence of the late GAA stalwart Padraig S O’Riain. Consequently, inside every young mind, there is always a dream and that dream is beating Tipperary. It is a dream that has not always come
true. John Kiely was born and reared beside Galbally Community field, the closest man to the onetime base for Galbally GAA and spent many hours there in his youth. He went on to live the dream in1996 as part of the panel that beat Tipperary after a replay in the Munster Final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.Sunday last may well have surpassed that as he took his young team into battle at the Gaelic Grounds. The players who delivered promotion for him in the League, delivered a victory to savour last Sunday. Border victories that are rare are emotional and tense affairs and leave poignant memories. Leaving the Gaelic Grounds last Sunday was a proud feeling for John Kiely and his many Galbally GAA supporters. Other games await, but this victory was one to savour.
Congratulations also to Kieran Hickey, Eoin O’Mahony and Brian Heavey on their respectiveinvolvements last Sunday. There have been a number of links with various county sides recently.Kevin Denihan managed Limerick Under 14 football team that drew with Tipperary and beat Waterford and West Cork. The team included Eoin O’Sullivan, son of PJ Sullivan. The new Galbally
GAA field is located on O’Sullivan’s land. Paddy Kennedy was also on the squad. In hurling, PeterMorrissey and Ciaran Sheehan (Grandson of Galbally GAA Treasurer Brian Chaplin) played with the Limerick Treaty team in the Under 17 Celtic Challenge competition against North Tipperary. The late
Galbally GAA stalwart Jimmy Morrissey would be a proud man looking down at his grandsons Peter Morrissey and Eoin O’Mahony wearing the Green Jersey last week. Best wishes to all in their forthcoming games.

Cork and Limerick would easily be the best supported hurling sides in Munster bank holiday or not that game will draw the biggest crowd outside of the Munster final itself.

Traditionally Limerick have always had the City Terrace in Cork.

Cork would have always have the Blackrock End no matter who they are playing.

Must go into the terrace for a game again especially if there is a big crowd. Atmosphere was very flat in the stands yesterday. Without the Limerick Ultras under the scoreboard the ground would have been insanely quiet.

Any chance they might locate it somewhere around Murroe?

Just over 20,400 there yesterday id say Tipp brought a bare 4000 the miserable cunts.

Fair play. The flare when it went into Quaid’s goals  I saw one was fucked into the middle of the crowd down at the front too? Is that dangerous or what?

Did Tipp have any fans in the terrace yesterday? It didn’t look like it? They usually have a crew under the scoreboard too?

Id nothing to do with the flares! The stewards swooped in fairly quick when the first flare went off during the parade. The smell of them flares would knock a Tipp cunt off a sister.

Not much Tipp fans in the area around us anyway.

I couldn’t see David Dempsey being dropped from the subs. I think he’s the go to man to replace any of the half forward line, and considering the amount of work they get through you’d imagine there’ll be at least one replaced in every game. He’s quick, good to catch a ball, good to run at the opposition and is good to come deep to help his defence which is what Kiely seems to want from this line.

+1 Id be shocked if he’s dropped,Reidy is 100% gone when Casey comes back so it looks like Nash will be the odd man out for now.

It’s hard to see pat Ryan or Murphy going too. I’d be surprised if nash isn’t back in but unlikely they’ll drop Dowling

Nash has been absolutely flying it and would have played if fit.

Well he aint starting ahead of Casey and Gillane and Mulcahy has pushed ahead of him now after yesterday too.
