I’m delighted for Chris Sexton. He took k/p over at a tricky time and left us in a great position.
I hope ye go all the way.

Has the draw been made for the junior semi finals?
You’ve Drom/Broadford, Croagh/Kilfinny, Claughaun and Patrickswell left now. What a championship.
A draw will need to decide who Drom meet from between Croagh and The Well. Drom and Claughaun came out of the same group.
Informative rating.
A Drom v Croagh county final would be off the chain. Would be fitting to have an All West final the year it went all county.
With the Relegation Football final now on next weekend I’d imagine the 2 semi finals will be on the weekend after.
I’d definitely be going to that.
Claughaun v Patrickswell
Drom v Croagh
The Well and Croagh came out of the same group too.
He has them super fit. Like up another level from last year. First touch is better but it’s the finishing that is most noticeable. They only had 6 or 7 wides today. In recent years that would be in double figures most days.
Was Hickey back?
Drom vs The Well
Claughaun vs Croagh
Confirmed
Yes, operated on the half forward line. Caught the world of puck-outs. Scored 2 points, one of them an absolute boomer. Was subbed with 15 mins to go, game was as good as over at that stage. Didn’t seem to show any ill effects from his hamstring injury.
Would have thought he’d be centre back at junior A level. Good stuff ye are in with a right shout of going up.
I thought centre back was a no brainer but Hickey has played in the half forward line in any game he’s started. Tom McMahon did a fine job at CB today and Brian McHugh did likewise in earlier group games.
You could argue it’d be a bit of a waste playing him at centre-back because even though his striking isn’t amazing, his athleticism and ballwinning still really stand out at that level. Croagh have some lovely young forwards but Hickey adds a bit of a grit and physicality that maybe they lack a little bit. Add in the ability to win ball and the direct running and he’ll occupy defenders which will leave a bit more space for the likes of Jack Lenihan.
Now I haven’t seen Tom McMahon play in a while but I’d have thought he’d still offer something up the pitch too but it seems to be working out well for them this year.
Hickey didn’t always deliver for Murroe/Boher but you can’t underestimate what a player like him can add in terms of experience, leadership and even professionalism in driving standards to a fairly youthful side like Croagh.
Tom McMahon started most of the group games at 11, did well too, scored in every game. Probably offers more protection at CB than McHugh.
Seamie’s ball winning skills were there for all to see today, I think he used the ball well too though, never gave a stupid pass or a 50/50 one, lots of cross field balls into the corners in second half. His experience and influence on the younger lads around him will be crucial though, you are spot on about that.
Bet365 going 9/5 on Ballysteen. I chanced it for a few quid.
My support lies with Seamie O Donnell and his men
