Limerick GAA - knocked down, but will get up again

Two turkey shoots as anticipated.

FT: Patrickswell 1-26 South Liberties 1-13.

Late goal from Brian Ryan; they struggled badly against the wind and the red card for Barry Nash didn’t help. They did do better than Murroe/Boher; they battled hard throughout but the Well had way better forwards in the end. Young Considine was very impressive in the full-back line for Patrickswell too.

Bringing two teams that aren’t good enough to be in the top six back into the QFs for absolutely no reason is a bizarre idea

Ya instead of having hidings in the group stage you have them in the quarter finals. Make no sense

Bottom line is the gap between the top 4 and the rest is scary .

Have you watched any games this year ? The gap is scary ,

That is a very silly tweet and highlights exactly how wrong it is that a referee can be actively involved with a team.

Donnacha is making a right fool of himself

So I’ve found out that the senior semis are on Sunday 14th October.

But what are the pairings?

The well V Doom
Square heads V Latte drinkers

Kilmallock vs Na Piarsaigh
Doon vs Patrickswell

Although I don’t think the dates have been officially confirmed yet?

We’re going to have a super end to all the Hurling Championships though. Like, both of those pairings should end with serious battles. The Well looked better set up today, but Doon are going very well. Kilmallock look to be well ahead of last year, and NaP are the reigning champions.

Then at Premier Intermediate, you have four very even teams:

Kildimo/Pallaskenry vs Garryspillane
Mungret vs Bruff

Again, should be two cracking contests between evenly-matched teams.

Then, at Intermediate:

Glenroe vs Croom
Dromin/Athlacca vs Granagh/Ballingarry

Glenroe, perennial underachievers, should probably beat Croom but you never know with them. The other one should be a cracking contest between two sides who have firepower but defensively can be shaky.

And then to top it all off, the jewel in the crown:

Tournafulla vs Killeedy

What a contest that will be.

do lucey and mark oriordan still play for croom?

Yes

A mouth watering all East final in the junior B with Doon v Cappamore.

Has William Hickey emigrated?

Himself & Tom Ryan should be two of South Liberties’ key players. To be fair to them, they did well to get promoted to Senior A without those fellas.

The senior 2 division is poor . The premier intermediate is a far far higher standard . Whoever wins Prem Inter could well top senior 2 next year .
