Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

They have amassed a crew which won’t be beaten. They’ll be getting their AI Suits fitted in July.

Clare are finished no pressure this year

Alan Dempsey put in an All-Star shift that day.

Anyone on here ever been to a match in Ruislip? Meant to have a nice set-up there now.

We’re over there for a glamour division four football tie in the middle of February. Just looking at flights there, out Saturday morning and back Sunday night coming in at less than €90. Tempted. A night out in the mainland.

Flights from Shannon?

Cork to Stansted. Shannon flights coming in just under €140 return.

Extra €50 surely worth it for ease of travel alone?

Yeah, flown into all the London airports at one time or another and never had any problems but been been told from people living over there that Stansted is the worst for flight delays, getting into the city etc. €50 more but going from Shannon into Heathrow might be more practical.

Got mugged off in Shannon a couple of years back (totally my own fault). Was over in London for a weekend, parked in the short term car park. Only away for something like 50 hours. Ended up paying more for the parking than the actual flight itself. :see_no_evil:

Shannon to Stanstead but Gatwick to Shannon for the home leg of the journey…

Was there years ago when we played a London team in the Club Championship. Grand clubhouse. Don’t remember a lot about it. A club field like any other.

Long haul from Ruislip down to Gatwick.

They’ve pumped a lot of money into it apparently, meant to have a decent sized covered stand now.

It’d be nice to tick it off the GAA ground bucket list if nothing else. Catch up with a few friends living over there for a night of cheap ale too.

Think Heathrow is actually the closest airport to Ruislip.

They have millions spent on it recently

Heathrow is only 15-20 minutes from Ruislip. Try go with the Shannon-Heathrow option if you can - it’s the handiest by far.

I was there for the league game in 2013. Freezing cold spot, but I believe they’ve since added a covered stand. The hosts couldn’t have been sounder and fired food & drink at us all weekend.

Good trip to go on, in fairness.

I think Boris Johnson is the local MP for Ruislip.

Have to go now so.

Sound for all the input, I’ll fly by Heathrow so.

Up to Antrim two weeks later for the hurling. Fuck me, I need to get a life.

There’s a slope on the main pitch. If the wind is that way also, it really can be a game of two halves.
Ruislip is barely in London in truth. It’s a pain in the hole to get to.
Grand spot once there.
