Whats with the jersey lads?
County Board bought a heap of Fermanagh ones in the OâNeillâs clearance shop on the long mile road. They got a limerick badge ironed on then.
Its a gradual move. Next year the white stripe is to be replaced with a gold one. The year after West Limerick is to be âgiftedâ to Kerry along with a few sets of second hand jerseys.
You can get Doon @9/4 on PP.
Tempting.
Doon always let you down in the end.
Na Piarsaigh to win.
Doon will win and win well.
A bit of a myth that . Doon have always decent teams over last 25 years but have never had a few established county players who can be game changers at club level . They could well have them now . I think they could win this . Regardless they will have to perform come knock out stage .
Apparently DOD is back fit too. Theyâll be disappointed if they donât win it; NaP are as vulnerable now as theyâll ever be.
And Doon beat them in both in 2013 & 2016; itâs not like itâs never happened before. And itâs not a knockout game or anything close to it; there are no prizes given out in April. I donât know what NaP have been doing for the last month but it must be so hard to turn around after losing an All-Ireland replay.
As Ashman says, the real barometer for Doon is in the knockouts but as for now, 9/4 is very tempting.
Theyâd want to be doing something in the next couple of years. Fine team there
Doon Are bit like the Galway hurlers always overrated at the start and given unrealistic targets at the beginning by outsiders looking in. This will change now imo. They were close enough to nap in the county semi final if they started josh Ryan theyâd have been much closer and Casey made a massive difference that day.
Yes, but to be fair they are a great club . In the main, every Doon team is very competitive at all underage levels . If they win 1 they could be a real force .
Youâll always beat Doon with your cap. They are as soft as Bruff when push comes to shove.
We will see .
Am hearing that for a long time. Takes time to convert underage to senior titles
The same was said about Kilmallock for long enough too before they won a Senior under Considine. Doon are a very good side. I reckon theyâre in better shape this year than last.
Sixteen long years to 2010. Our problem was we lost the old hands with the experience of winning titles. We lost some amount of semi finals.
You post that observation about Doon not being chokers every few weeks and youâre clearly an Oola man. Letâs meet up for a pint next time Iâm staying in the village.
This Doon side are better than most of the Doon sides that have fallen at the second last or last hurdle over the years and are good enough to win the County. Iâd like to see them do it, theyâre mad whores altogether out there
Everything will have to go right for them though. Itâs competitive at the top table.
Oola is a hot bed of TFK activity
