Wasnât their joyous homecoming tonight? Iâd say they had some crack in the pub watching the game yesterday.
I think any proud Limerick man would want their team to win. TJ has got it so wrong there is no turning back. If he does not change it he is gone, the players he is picking and the game plan is wrong. Pick the best players and just let them fcuking hurl.
Whoever plays at centre-back, I think they have to be told to play deeper like Tadhg De BĂşrca has done for Waterford. He protects Coughlan very well. Maybe Byrnes could grow into this role, but presently, his positional sense isnât the best and fancies himself going forward a bit too much maybe. Still a fine talent though.
Maybe Gavin is currently the person best suited to the role, but the thing about Gavin is he isnât the best at stopping people running at him whereas that would be a strength of Byrnes. I can see why Byrnes was picked at 6, in fairness most people were calling for that to happen.
Once again though, I feel I do have to mention Paul Browneâs performance. Will get overlooked because of how poor we were in general but he was a colossus yesterday. He used to get a bit of stick back in the day but he has matured into one of the best midfielders in the country. If we had 15 of his type, weâd be sorted.
It wouldnât be spring if we werenât in crisis.

Fergal horgan was shocking yesterday.
The Clare goal should not have stood. It was a free out or a penalty. He blew the whistle before the goal was scored.
second penalty should have been awarded after condons foul on conlon and condon fitzgibbon and maybe mccarthy should all have been sent off.
