 Even now in his current state. What has he, 6 All Stars? Respect where its due.
Amazing the damage those 3 u-21 all-irelands did to Limerick hurling. Compared to what the footballers got out of a single munster championship.
he is an overcharging bollocksâŚ
What do you be doing in there?
He obviously saw you coming. Joe is a decent skin.
I dunno about damage but if you were to say that Eoin Foley, Maurice OâBrien, Mark Keane and Peter Lawlor were going to have no senior hurling careers of any account then youâd know that the senior team will struggle to get much out of the U21 successes. They were four pivotal players in those teams.
I am sick of hearing peopl going on about rugby in Limerick. Hurling was on life support long before rugby was casting the shadow it is now. The fault lies in the clubs. They are not doing their jobs. I donât think they are demanding enough of the players either.
I am a man of many skills WTBâŚBought some ratchet straps off him recently and saw them in BMS for nearly half the priceâŚ
Limerick Hurling (Gaelic Grounds and late of Croke Park, Dublin) August 16th, 2009 at Croke Park after a long illness. Predeceased by loving relatives Treaty Sarsfields, Sexton St CBS hurling academy and city hurling. Deeply mourned by a wide circle of longstanding friends. Removal by stretcher from Croke Park and reposing in Chawkes pub Adare. Donations if required to Lifting The Treaty emergency fund. Family flowers only.
I wrote something along similar lines in the wiki. That is far superior though.
Tom the busker told me today that the reason hurling is dying in the city is that Limerick city people have a deep set hatred for their irish heritage. It comes down from british garrison times apparently.
The story goes that JP gave 100 times more to Limerick GAA than to the tsunami relief fund.
When asked why the imbalance he responded by saying
âLimerick GAA is a bigger disaster areaâ.
An apt decription SS.
Iâv been struggling to find a term or a form of words to describe the Tipperary performance and have settled on the below.
âErotic Mysticismâ

Yeâll hurl the living fook out of Kilkenny Iâd say.
It will be quite a glamourous final, one lots of neutrals will go to. I certainly donât expect to be offered free tickets like I was in 2007.
No, my All Ireland Weekend will consist of the Champion Stakes in Leopardstown, the Irish Derby Semi Final in Shelbourne, glassing Tipperary men in town and watching the game on the box.

No, I suppose I could call into Silverpark before going to Leopardstown.

I will most likely have the opportuinity to go to this with the lady friend. Not sure if I will or not, the hurling should be good but the thoughts of being in such close proximity to so many Tipp and Kilkenny people is not that appealing.
Is anyone else sick of the GAA having some clown singing the anthem as opposed to just the band playing it? One of the best parts of a munster championship day was the pipe bandâs playing of the anthem and the low hum of the crowd singing along slowly rising to the end. A real calm before the storm feel to it. Having some bird screeching it takes away from the occasion big time.
What did you make of the anthem in Dungarvan?
