I always get the probably baseless feeling there is a bias towards the Leinster counties in these nominations, counties like Longford, Kildare, Meath etc who only play one code to a reasonable level get taken more seriously than ourselves.

County final coming up any thoughts on this at all? Kilmallock in the semi were the best club team I have seen in a good while and put Na P to the sword who admittedly were carrying a few injuries and never managed to reach the form of last season.

I hope Hannon has a stormer after what has been a frustrating year for him with injury, I think it will take that to at least make a game of it but expect Kilmallock to have far too much for Adare. I fully expect Kilmallock to win Munster this year. Hopefully the county players all perform well and few others make a case for inclusion for next year. Looking forward to the game, hopefully it’s good, it’s been one of the better county championships of recent years this year.

Hard to see Adare stopping Kilmallock if they’re in rampant form. I was mightily impressed with them in the semi, the first game was like a junior game in comparison. Kilmallock really should be winning on Sunday. They’ll be half way there if they lock up Hannon. They have a tough enough route through Munster if they do win though. 6/1 doesn’t appeal to me.

I think this Kilmallock team are probably better than Na P were last year. Crucially though they have more experience than Na P did and they are bit older too. Maybe I’m running away with myself now after after the semi and it should be recognised that Na P were carrying a few injuries and such so maybe I should tone down judgement til after the final. Still, Kilmallock will be as good as whats out there in Munster if they can maintain the form of that semi.

The thing about Kilmallock is that while they are preparing for Adare, they seem to have their sights set on bigger things. I don’t think this is a team that is going to be satisfied with the county only and go on the beer for a month. They have the firepower in every line to kick on, if they do overcome Adare.

The problem last year was that they took the eye off the ball thinking about Munster and lost to the Well. Adare are experienced though and the Balbec won’t be taking anything for granted. We haven’t beaten them in knockout for a long time. Looking forward to it now, coming back home for it.

Nobody cares anymore. Joe Quaid took a dildo up his arse and now wants to stay and take more dildos up his arse. That is fine for Joe Quaid but a lot of people put their necks on the block for him and he thanks them by bleating like every lamb in the system. If he wont leave the board then the board should just fuck him out. He doesnt deserve to be there and will do nothing only bleat from now on. I suppose that is why they keep these people. Took on the system, poisoned by the system and accepting of the system. When you get poisoned you either row in or row out. Does Joe hold more value on his tickets and expenses than his integrity? Look at the men that are coming in. Oliver Mann was always a top table man will be the bossman because the Liberties clique want him. He is more of a Liberties man than a Patrickswell man and will only get the Patrickswell vote under compliment. His third election in three years and never had a vote cast for him when other people were humiliated and destroyed in votes. Val Moloney needs to erase Charleville golf club from the minds of the County Board who will poison him with the Limerick Leader headlines. Seamas McNamara will be the assistant secretary. A yes man who will look after himself and hand over the keys of the West Limerick bank account to the county board. Oh how I remember that night he cried at the West Board convention. Words are cheap and tears are cheaper. Donal Morrissey can be an accountant all he wants but bad debt is bad debt no matter how it is dressed up. The Liberties clique do not want him and that is a death warrant these days. Pat Heffernan is gone past it. My friend John Cregan is only there to give himself a bit of a political profile. I let him know that too. The Banjo man is there to nod the head and agree with them and pass on the tickets to his buddies. He made a speech at a meeting earlier in the year and the past politicians of the board would have been gleaming. Mark Rashers Foley hasnt a hope of beating him because he is not popular enough. If they wanted a former hurler they should have went for a different profile.

In the last two years Limerick County Board have made shit of the hurling board and made shit of Joe Quaid and made shit of the Senior Hurlers and made shit of the clubs. They will make shit of everyone for a finish and it will be left to themselves. The biggest fuck up of the lot is that they are getting rid of Bord Na nOg and handpicking their own cronies to fill the seats. Breda Breen has got very wise very quick and decided to get married to the system. The rest of them are seen as trouble and in Limerick we keep the problem and get rid of the voices instead of getting rid of the problem to satisfy the voices. Arent we in a pityful state all the same. I blame the media all the same. They have put themselves at the mercy of the sinners. The Limerick Rugby Leader and Live Rugby 95 have not done their job in the last few years. They hide the truth. Would not happen in other counties. No other top table has the same control over the media as our boys have. What we need is Liam Aherne and Jerome O’Connell to say fuck the county board for a change we are telling the truth and going to keep telling it. Only then will we take the first step towards sorting this fucking county of politics out.

Port west. Just a few points of interest. Joe Quaid has not claimed one cent of expenses for the past 2 years and I know this for a fact. Also the only way to change the system is from the inside and I admire him for staying with coaching and games and continuing the good work being done there. It takes more guts to sit with people who stabbed him in the back than to walk away as they would have liked him to.

Another factor Blondie is that there may also be significant changes to the board in 2013 depending . The executive committee voted 6-5 against Joe Quaid but in 2013 of the 6 who voted against him, as many as four may not be around depending on election results.
