Lock the thread, HB has it sorted.
Saying that the pack unit tomorrow and the back unit on Wednesday look like test starters for the most part.
The Murray, OâConnell, OâCallaghan lineout combination tomorrow has test team all ever it. Half back will be mid-weekers no matter what. Luke and Earls still have chances. Ferris will play the tests. Murray is great lifter/
OâConnell, OâCallaghan is probably the only combination named tomorrow that may start the 1st test together.
Earls has a chance? For what position? He has zero chance. Agreed on most of the rest but I donât see OâCallaghan starting. So actually I donât agree with much of that at all except for the half backs part. Even then Ellis will probably be a bencher for the test team.
No explain?
Earls has a chance? Come off it. He was shown to be greener than a very angry Incredible Hulk during the European Cup when DâArcy and OâDriscoll took him to school.
Earls really does have a chance of a bench test spot, the vibes from his performnaces on the training pitch have been very good and a good run tomorrow and last week will be quickly forgotten.
Anyway, the first 3 matches will not be very significant in a couple of weeks, its next wednesday onwards that the combinations will start to be formed.
What would that say to the 3rd outhalf? You werent in our plans, nothing has happened to change our outhalf plans, but shur weâll pick you because we lot a player who cant play out half?
I woulda brought in a centre of some sort, as long as it wasnât Henson.
Re Darcy, having listened to him on Ruggamatrix, I get the impression he couldnt give a fuck about the Lions.

If that impression is true, he has gone up in my estimation.
Fair enough he made a mistake last time out but by not bothering his arse togging out for the last game he showed the Brits the respect they deserve ie none.
[B]DâArcy not about to fluff his Lions opportunity this time
Rugby shorts

comes an opportunity to put to rights what DArcy believes was an inaccurate interpretation of how his Lions tour ended four years ago.
While Id hoped to make the original squad I dont feel that the honour is in any way lessened by being called up in this manner,
said a delighted DArcy,
Nevertheless, the fear the Lions squad announcement might just come too early for him was compounded by a widely-held perception that he had dirtied his bib irretrievably with the Lions four years ago.
Upon announcing his Lions team and replacements for the third Test, dead rubber against the All Blacks in Auckland, Clive Woodward said DArcy had ruled himself out of consideration for the match on the grounds he was too exhausted. There had even been suggestions DArcy ought not to be picked for the Lions again after that.
Asked about this, DArcy admitted: I was deeply disappointed that any rugby player, whatever about commentators or pundits, and particularly former British and Irish Lions, might suggest I would have chosen not to play in a Test match for the Lions because I was exhausted or suffering from exhaustion. Thats just nonsensical.
I have to admit I was upset by it. Unfortunately the spin that was put on what occurred has ensured that certain people believed that, said DArcy, who was adamant he had never, ever declined to play in a rugby match unless genuinely injured or unavailable.
Clearly irritated that a certain perception had gathered legs, DArcy added: I know the truth of what happened but I want to put the matter to rest and theres no better way of doing that than having the opportunity to play for the Lions again.
DArcy was troubled by a shoulder injury towards the end of that Lions tour to New Zealand and, following an operation after his return to Ireland, he did not reappear on a rugby pitch until October 10th.
Darcy toes the line eh, good man Gordie, shur youâre a east coast west brit after all.
Kicking off in Blom. Just heard someone shout 99 actually, may have been some fella in the crowd.
Ferris got in a good slap there.
Ferris shows his pace again to get in from loose ball at a ruck, great pick up, never saw him. Lions 10-0 up.

Anyone post a link please?
South Africa, you have met Keith Earls, what a try!!!
Ferris gone to the bin for killing the ball.
Watching on tv, have no link, try justin.tv
Tahs try, numerical advantage counts, 20-7 now.
Hook kicks out on the full.
Lions escape there, Dimas (sp?) had a run in there, dunno why he chose to kick on, thought his pace would have seen him home.
How good was the fight, MBB? Iâll switch over at half time to see the replay if it was any good.
Brief escape, Lions scrum turned over when Worsely and Powell lose in the tackle after breaking off back of scrum. BRave effort from Halfpenny and Byrne but they were roadkill for that prop. 20-14 to Lions now, Ferrisâs sin bin has been exploited.
Harmless enough bando, wouldnt put yourself out too much to see it. Murray got a few shots off, Ferris body slammed a flanker pretty nicely.
26 - 17 to Lions with 20 to go.
Lions eating em in the front row, but Tahs cleaning up on the deck and at the breakdown.
Lions being harshly treated by ref I would have said.
Powell is a donkey.
Earls nearly got in there but Ferris could have given it sooner.
Ferris will start the tests.
Just started watching 10 minutes ago and itâs been scrappy enough. Lee Byrneâs very, very good. Whoâs impressed all through, MBB?
