Limerick Gaa Tv is a disaster. Page taking an age to load

Edit: I’m not alone

I won’t pay as it’d drive me mental.
They’d be as well upload the game onto a server or something and charge from there. Doesn’t have to be live.

When u get the confirmation save it to your calendar. Then copy the http address. Worked for me

I’m in! Sound.

Are you quietly confident? After looking at line ups it doesn’t look like a whole amount of difference. Very reminiscent of first round game last year

4/1 still a big price for ye. I threw ye in a treble but Monaleen let me down.

No Mul no party

He’s not starting? Ah… changes everything

Is there reason why we can’t have individual highlights of inter county games uploaded to you tube ?

You can watch premier highlights for free on you tube within minutes of the final whistle.

Teege (who is always a good listen and judge) has been repeatedly been calling for a GAA TV on the Examiner pod. I wonder would it be economically viable.

The lockdown has certainly accelerated this prospect with club games being streamed.

Assume TG4 have the rights to them for their highlights show on on Monday night. The same is true in the LOI, clubs couldn’t show highlights til after Soccer Republic aired them on a Monday

I don’t know if it’d be a huge moneymaker but if the matches are being recorded anyway, surely it wouldn’t be that much hassle?

At intercounty level anyway, TG4 already do a highlights programme, it’d be great if they could upload those clips individually to YouTube.

Ah a GAA TV would be class. Highlights and analysis shows divvied up by code and level. For example there should be a Joe Mac, Ring…highlights show. They get scant recognition.

Also a provincial club show further on in the season would be great. An Ulster football one would be brilliant.

There are innumerable podcasts out there now, and obviously some most make at least a little bit of money. I know it’s probably a lot easier to edit a podcast, being purely audio, without including video clips too and it’s a completely different discipline.

But, does the interest in those podcasts suggest that there would be the interest if it was done properly?

In the late 90s and early 2000s, Chorus/Horizon Multichannel or whatever iteration it was at the time used to have a dedicated regional sports channel. It would only broadcast from 7pm to 10pm mid week from what I remember but would be extened highlights of intercounty underage games and club championship matches from around Munster - Gerald McCarthy used to host it.

Think they would also have rugby and rallying and other sports shows as well.

For a GAA tv to work they would need to go and get the rights to all the GAA gold/archive matches that are out there. That would buy you a whole host of filler for the schedule.

Mal Keaveney on commentary.

They could show a North Tipp Under 21 final between Toomevara and Burgess or someone with Tony Scroope and Francis Devanney going at it hammer and tongs.
