Rodgers has fielded a team of mid fielders. No proper striker, no proper fullbacks, and even one of the back three is a more natural midfielder.
Sterling could have had a pelanty also.
Rather lucky to still be 1-0 up, to say the least.
4 nailed on penalties not given, 3 for Southampton and 1 for Liverpool.
Southampton are the real deal. Fully deserve to be fighting for a CL spot.

Liverpool down to ten men now.
Johnson is some fanny. Heâd never last in LDMC Div 4.

We know who the real deal is now.

Solid performance. Will need to keep the ball better against city. Right in the mix now.

Had a look at Manchester Unitedâs run-in. Ho ho ho.
Man Uâs fundamental problem is their away form. They invariably just resort to long ball hoofing it forward and have won just 3 from 13 on the road. Elsewhere in the top 7, Manchester City have won 8 on the road, Chelsea, Southampton and Liverpool 7 and Arsenal & Spurs 6.
Man U still have to travel to Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Crystal Palace & Hull. Hull is last game of the season. Last thing they need is going to the cauldron that Steve Bruce sides always create for Man U, needing a result.
Home record is the second best in the league after Chelsea, but still have to host Man City, Arsenal & Spurs.
Away to Hull last day. Will be tough for them.

I donât know if I have this right, but Liverpool have only lost 4 games under Brendan Rodgers after 1 January since he took over.
Team v Manchester City
Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, Henderson, Allen, Moreno, Markovic, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling
Boom. What a goal
Magnificent finish from Henderson.
