Andrew Carroll.
Thought we sold him to West Ham bud?
Luis Suarez hasn’t gone away y’know.
Fuck him-if he wants away, let him off. Good and all as he is, he wants to go so we need to get as much money as possible for him and find a replacement.
What’s with all this ‘we’, pale face?
Depending on how the summer transfers go, I am thinking of throwing in my lot with Liverpool this year. I can’t commit fully at this early stage obviously but I have the feeling this could be our year mate!
Luis, Stuzza. Miki, Phil and Stewy will be a “famous five” to rival Tottenham’s with Klinsmann, Sheringham, Dumitrescu, Anderton and Barmby.
The move for Mkhitaryan looks to be almost done according to sources, the price is reported to be almost £25m. Aspas is as good as sealed too. Could badly do with a center half but Brendan is not fucking around this window.
Wenger wants you pal. Come on over
It’s all going very well so far. I wonder is he thinking if I can sign some quality players and show Suarez we mean business early in the summer then he might be more inclined to give it another season?
I pride myself on not following an English soccer ball company. However, I have always had a soft spot for Liverpool. I got to like them I think in '09 when they made a late run threatening to sneak the title and Gerrard and Torres were banging in four goals a game. Would Liverpool supporters recommend I think about considering making tentative moves towards taking an interest in Liverpool this year?
As a Limerick supporter, you will feel right at home! Welcome aboard, pal.
Great to have you on the team Glas & Horsebox.

Until ye stop becoming a feeder club for Man City I won’t be able to commit my unswerving commitment to Arsenal mate. B-Rod is doing the business so far this summer so Wenger will have a fair bit to do if he wants to earn my love.

Alberto set to be LFC’s third summer signing
By Neil Jones
Liverpool FC will look to finalise the £6m signing of Sevilla’s Luis Alberto this week.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is set to become the Reds’ third signing of the summer, though the ECHO understands a fee is yet to be agreed with the Spanish side.
Liverpool have tracked Alberto’s progress closely during a loan spell with Barcelona’s B team last season, and believe his versatility – he can play anywhere across the forward line, or as an advanced midfielder – and potential mark him out as an ideal signing.
The Reds are aware that the player is willing to come to Merseyside, and with Barcelona having passed up the chance to make his loan move a permanent one, are now free to negotiate with Sevilla over the fee.
The Spaniards want around 8m Euros (£6.8m) for the player, but Liverpool anticipate that can be negotiated down to £6m in the next few days. They remain confident a deal will be completed.
Liverpool also believe they are closing in on the signings of Simon Mignolet and Tiago Ilori, with movement expected on both fronts this week.
Sunderland goalkeeper Mignolet has emerged as a major target in recent days, and though the clubs are still some way off in terms of their valuations of the Belgian international, a compromise worth around £9m is expected to be struck.
A similar situation exists with Sporting Lisbon defender Ilori, with the Portuguese side asking for in excess of £6m for the 20-year-old. Liverpool have so far offered around £3m, but expect to make progress on that front, though the player is currently on duty with Portugal’s U20 side at the World Cup in Turkey.
A deal to bring Shakhtar Donetsk star Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Anfield, however, is likely to take a little longer. The ECHO revealed on Monday that the Reds will face a fight to land the Armenian, with a number of top European clubs also monitoring his situation.
Mkhitaryan is valued at £20m, and the initial noises from his camp have been promising. The Reds, though, view the 24-year-old as an “ambitious” target, and hope the absence of European football at Anfield next season will not be a hindrance to any deal. Mkhitaryan is understood to have flown to the Ukraine on Monday to speak with Shakhtar officials about securing a move away from the club.
Liverpool are bemused, meanwhile, by reports suggesting their £7.7m deal to sign striker Aspas from Celta Vigo could be delayed, or even blocked, by a dispute with the Spanish Football Federation over the player’s paperwork. The Reds announced a deal had been agreed in principle for Aspas last week, and are adamant the move will be finalised once both the English and Spanish transfer windows open at the end of the month.
6m for a B-team player? o_O
I would prefer if we just sold Suarez. The club has backed him to hilt despite Suarez being the one to bring the problems on himself and to repay the club he is now whinging to the newspapers about wanting to leave. Best for both player and the club is sell for 40m and get in some other players.
In GAA terms, think of him as an u21 who has also been a star of the intermediate team. There are big questions if he can do it at senior, as always, but he is one for the future and has shown real promise to date.
Doesn’t sound good on him.
Choco who was yer 2nd signing?
Kolo and ?
