Salah got the player of the year 
To be fair Salah was sensational that year and scored 44 goals in all comps. Iād be of the opinion that KdB should win player of the year this season. Heās been very good.
Henderson has played above himself this season, no doubt.
De Bruyne has played above himself at times and been average at times
De Bruyneās average is better than Hendersons best. They are on completely different planets when it comes to ability.

Iām in agreement with you that KdB deserves it. Trent has been better than Henderson for Liverpool in my opinion.
Vinny Kompany got it when he moved heaven, sea and Earth to get City over the line in '11/'12
I think Raheem Sterling got a writers award and Young player of the year.
I donāt think Aguero has got an individual award, or Silva or KDB
Trent and Robertson are way more important to Liverpool than Henderson. Their whole system is built around getting those two high and wide and getting crosses into the box, allowing Salah and Mane to drop inside and Firmino to drop back.
They canāt really build through the middle because they donāt have any creativity in there, so they either go long diagonal our build out wide.
Henderson pretty much cycles the ball left to right, or watches it go over his head.
Iām not saying KDB is undeserving of it, Iām just trying to rubbish the idea that Henderson should be nowhere near it. He has been sensational this season, but for other reasons I wouldnt begrudge KDB the award either as he has been brilliant too and the victim of his own success in a way that those performances are expected now.
Similarly, VVD should be up there as he (AFAIK) has played every minute this season in the PL? I may be wrong on that. But, his consistency is off the charts, an 8 out of 10 game for him is considered below par.
Thatās the thing that is annoying me about Henderson mate.
Heās been good for him. But good for him is nowhere near KDB or VVD at their average.
Henderson spent 10 years probably being underrated and now heās being massively overrated. Heās an above average premier league midfielder. Thatās all.
Wouldnāt be a huge fan of Henderson but to be fair was excellent this season.

Then how did we underperform so much in the exact games he was missing? Obviously there are many players more technically gifted than him, but itās the honesty, defensive work and leadership he also gives. Not to mention his passing game has improved drastically.
We can argue till the cows come home over Liverpoolās most important player and there are arguments for a good few, which makes the team special. Henderson certainly is one
because Liverpool have shit replacements. If you took out any one of nine players, liverpools stats would drop off.

Henderson comes out, an average midfielder comes in like Milner or OX, small drop off nothing like any of the other positions.
This importance thing is a myth thatās developed in the last few months. It wasnāt 12 months ago he was being ridiculed by his own. Now suddenly he is the heartbeat of the team
We beat Everton 5-2 with Shaqiri and Origi in the front 3. Same with the Barca game.
Adrian played the first 8 games and we won all 8, only time going behind was against Newcastle and that ended comfortably.
I do agree that those players are paramount and we have struggled in other games when some of them havenāt featured, but Liverpool without Henderson is the most notable drop off. We never know with VVD cause heās always playing and I agree that the team would fall off a cliff without him. We have coped grand when Gomez fills in for Trent or Milner for Robertson, albeit proper backups are needed if one of them get injured. Neco Williams is a good backup at RB but LB is a worry.
