He was untouchable as a youth, he was flagged for years at City, and was unplayable. Headed to Chelsea for the big dollars and after that it was all bling. He had a great opportunity at Liverpool with Suarez but even still he couldnât sustain it.
To be fair he comes across as very upbeat on Sky Sports coverage. Wasnât expecting him to be such a positive guy. Rodgers wanted to sign Clint Dempsey instead of him in the summer of 2012. Ignored the laptop gurus findings.
Thatâs right. The laptop gurus were recommending him that summer but Brendy had the big horn for Clint. Forgot about that actually. They nearly had to force him to sign him the following January
Sturridge was a disgrace of a footballer.
Constantly injured.
With two years left on his contract, Liverpool loaned him to West Brom in January who were fighting relegation.
20 minutes into his debut for WBA he goes off injured and never played for them again.
Back to Liverpool for pre season and into the last year of his contract. Miraculously recovered from injury now he puts in an intense pre season and is in decent form - heâs in the shop window now and needs clubs to be interested. Injuries are now much less frequent.

Sturridge is a man of God. He believed his niggles were Godâs plan and was pretty ambivalent about playing through the pain barrier. Liverpool had got a good 18 months out of him and tailored a specific training regime. That doddery auld cunt Hodgson decided to âtest his resolveâ during England training and fucked him up for good.
Studge is vibes, you guys just wouldnât get it.
