Remarkably Forrest survives three substitutions.
This is turgid.
Celtic sans Edouard are utterly dire.
Only saving grace is the huns are one down at home to Hamilton
Gerrard has to be sacked. Rangers throwing the league away.
Forrest has been the worst player on the pitch. If he starts at the weekend it defies belief.
Rrrrrroooogggggiiiiiicccccccc
Edouard saves Celtic.
RRRRRRRRROOOOGGGGGGIIIIIIIIICCCccccccccccccccccccccccc
Nice ball from Forrest to set Edouard away there. Class.
Great point for Celtic.
A terrific tussle at the Tony Macaroni.
Gerrard has to go… That’s a new low from just last weekend…
Meadowbank Thistle not an easy place to go and get a result.
6 wins from 9 seals the league
That’s a useful point in the end.
They defended very well and had a measure of luck in there too. Forrest and Frimpong were good at stretching them but pity we had to sacrifice balance on the left. Taylor was poor again though and wasted good opportunities.
Thought Rogic had missed that equaliser, a scuffed sort of finish. He didn’t really impact the game and I think Christie and Elyounoussi found it tough in that area too in front of their back four.
Good to see Frimpong back and looking dangerous. He has very quick feet and was important in allowing us to create that spell of sustained pressure.
I was surprised Christie came off. Thought we could have gambled by taking Ajer off and leaving Christie on to offer more width and because he gets important goals.
All said, that was a decent rescue of the points and the performance was far better than our last time there. If Forster punches the ball away then we win the game. He’s been superb since he came back though so I’ll forgive him that blemish.
Strachan is right about the tremendous attitude from both sets of players there. One fighting to hold onto victory, the other to salvage something from the game. It was everything good about the game in Scotland (cc @mickee321). Sheer class from Edouard to set up the equaliser. I thought Frimpong did well when he came on too. It would have been hard to fathom had Celtic lost that game based on possession and chances, but that’s football bhoys.
A great follow up to the cup tie at the weekend. Even a bit of bite with my good friend @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy which makes everything a bit more spicy. A topsy turvy evening but an enjoyable one.
Can you really say that with a straight face?
Lads delighted with a point from Livingston If Rangers had won tonight ye’d be seething with a draw, I don’t see why it’s any better because ye got lucky
