I was literally just inside the ground when it was called off. Plenty of Shels fans were already in too. If they werenât coddlers Iâd almost feel sorry for them.

Suits the Tallaght crowd as they play their home games in the mountains of south Dublin.
It was fairly severe for a half hour but still feel the pitch wouldâve been no worse than any of the prior home games this season.

An awful week for Spock and the league in general. Patâs and Bohs taking 1 point from 12 between them and ceding top spot to a team looking for a 6th title in 7 years. I think I preferred it when a team would enjoy 2-3 years at the top and then completely fall apart and tumble into the 2nd tier ala Shels, Cork and Dundalk. Sligo too although I donât theyâve gone down since their glory days 12-15 years ago.

Iâd say that was the wettest, windiest and coldest game Iâve ever been at. At least we got a win amd up to second. Great strike by Verdon, should have won by more, but in those conditions Athlone could easily have scuttered in an equailiser

In Dalymount earlier. Coldest, most miserable game Iâve atended in a long long time. In the Des Kelly, no protection from the elements.
Bohs brutal, couldnât score in a brothel. Itâs like watching the current Liverpool team play, loads of passing it around but no bite. No one wants the ball.
