Best player in the league for me.

Derry at home is probably the best draw we could’ve gotten, although they’re a better side than the one we beat in Salthill. Blaas in great form and we can’t seem to shake Bohs this year.

A Saturday 3pm kickoff for GUFC’s cup semi-final. I’ve heard the @footix favour that timeslot to appease the Windsor family. Give me Friday nights anytime.

Is this your crew @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy ?

The font is terrible.

Harsh lumping in @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy with the yuppies but friendly fire is always welcome in the LOI.

It has to be said, and yes I know majority of these ultra’s are teenagers. But by fuck the majority of the ultra groups around the league are absolute dimwits.

Wexford at home to Finn Harps tomorrow, a win badly needed. There is 5 teams in the mix for the last 2 playoff spots, just 5 points split Kerry, Cobh, Longford, Athlone and Wexford. Bray and UCD should be good for the top 2 playoff spots.

Cork have the league won, as would be expected. The gulf between the full time teams who do drop down is massive, and its simply a yo yo league at this stage, UCD in 2018 the last side from a Div1 regular to go up. So it would take a lot to break that glass ceiling for the likes of Bray or the others above to get up and make a go of it in the premier league, but I dont see it happening any time soon.

I think the Promotion/Relegation playoff this year will be very tight. Galway and Derry are still very much in the mixer and if Drogs stay 9th they’re very beatable. I think Waterford should be fine with their current form and Sligo look fucked.

yeah but they’ll beat the Div 1 playoff winner handy enough. Sligo will win Div 1 next year at a canter too unless they fuck up their set up and lose a load of players. But if they do go down, and just keep the year going as normal, they’ll be fine to go straight back up. The finances in the LOI as a whole are not really working (see Waterford as an example recently of their posted year on year losses), but the Div 1 sides being part time and on really limited budgets is always going to be a factor in a season long league. They might get a shock win in a cup or even a playoff game, but it would be not the expectation.

An absolutely ideal piss-hedge setup tbf

A play off would be wasted on them. That away form is absolutely atrocious. I don’t see any upward trend from last season, same major problem, bad away form.

It would in truth. Not only the away form tho, been some really sloppy home games too. Its so similar to last year, massive potential and when they play well they are right up there as one of the best, but no consistency at all.

Tonight feels like one of those nights where GUFC are coming off the back of a big away win and can’t ever back it up at home to keep momentum going. Bohs have our number this year too.

I suspect Pats faint title challenge will end limply tonight

Pats 0-2 The Tallaght mob (Byrne 42, Burke 81)
