Small plate / Tapas?
Rudyās pizza
Dub pan and black burger in boxpark
Pearly queen for seafood
Lahore kebab or Tayyabs for really good Indian at end of brick lane
Walk up and down the high st on both sides and see what looks good/is busy.
Letās go to London for the weekend and sit in some boozer owned by some lad from Limerick for the 2 days
The mind boggles
And watch horse racing
I actually have cousins that own and run a pub/restaurant in Shoreditch.
Iām not sure why you always get so upset by this.
Iām sure you could tell treatystones about one of your stories about working in London.
There always so interesting.
Borough Market worth a wander, make sure to have a pint or 2 in the Market Porter
Opens at 6am so tell her youāre going for an early stroll
Had planned to head across there for a look but a lot of reviews say its just too busy.
I donāt want to plan things out too much but at the same time the place is so big you do need the bones of a plan
Yeah. Really good. Walk ins only I think.
Tower of London tour is very good. Get down there nice and early and have a walk around this area, there is some history around there. Well worth listening to a few historical podcasts in the lead up.
The guy fawkes museum is a banger.
The walking tour of IRA bombs is a blast
Sound. Iāve listened to that before.
Tower of London beefeater tour is quick and free. Wander over the bridge and up the far side of the river see the shard from the bottom. Look across at one of the great city skylines, back up the river to St Pauls and have a look in there.
Dukes hotel in Mayfair for a vesper Martini (no booking, you just queue up).
Edit, the beefeater bit is free, you might have to pay for the tower I canāt remember. Itās a great city to walk around.
Donāt pay for the Tower lads. Itās not for sale. Lot of naive fellas have been caught like this in the past.
Churchillās War Rooms - worth doing? How long would I need for it?
I have two or three spare hours during an upcoming visit and looking for something to do other than drinking in an Irish bar.
Open to other suggestions but needs to be somewhere reasonably close to the Victoria line. Imperial War Museum seems like something Iād need a bit more time for.
I thought Imperial War Museum was much better than the War rooms. War museum can do floor by floor so maybe just do WW1
I think two hours was loads in War Rooms.
