Lucy Letby - innocent?

There’s something off with that Dewi Evans fella.

Definitely

It seems that both sides of the case have huge holes.

Of course the prosecution one is the main one in terms of beyond reasonable doubt.

It was an interesting programme, I missed the first 20 minutes or so.

They way I see it is there was something going on in the hospital and the investigation possibly got a bit out of hand.

It looks to me like they came up with methods of harming babies which go some way to explain some of the deaths but they don’t necessarily stand up to scrutiny.

I’ve no idea why her defense didn’t call more experts to challenge the prosecution case or at least cast some doubt with the jury.

Because she did it possibly? I don’t think a guilty person would want too many experts around the place. @Cheasty may have been busy.

I think anouk’s article is slanted and I strongly suspect she could put together an equally convincing article the other way. I also, for the record, don’t think there is anything good to come from publishing in the telegraph. Evil seeps from its pages.
As I said, anyone can pick holes in any individual case, but put them all together, along with the other stuff, and I’d be pretty sure she is indeed guilty.

The BBC’s reporting around this case seems so shoddy.

Wow, the amount of “mistakes” on the case is ridiculous…

It’s like the whole case has been conducted by THE INTERNET from start to finish and even now still is and that has heavily influenced mainstream reporting.

Facts seem to be optional.

The case for Letby’s innocence looks weaker than ever | The Spectator

I’ve just watched the Netflix doc and thought it was very interesting with all the previously unseen footage. I’d say if she had a more competent legal team and put up any sort of robust defense then it would have been a hung jury.

There were one or two items in the doc which I wasn’t previously aware of and made me wonder about the verdict but I still think it’s an unsafe conviction.

The police initially investigated 32 deaths on the unit and Letby was then charged with 7 counts of murder and 15 counts of attempted murder in relation to 17 of those babies.

What happened to the other 15 babies and why did they decide to not press any charges with 9 other deaths they tried to link her to?

It’s like they picked the only deaths they could link her to and ignored the rest.

They picked the strongest cases with the most commonality, nothing particularly unusual in that

That’s what always struck me about the case.

The most serious allegations with very little hard proof from the prosecution, and she was convicted,

What was the defense at?

I agree but I’d like to know what they think happened with all the other deaths. The doc mentions that they recently investigated a further 9 but haven’t taken any action. I’m assuming this is 9 of the 32, not an additional 9.

It seems the hospital was a shambles with a toxic working environment.

Guilty as sin imho. What are the stats on deaths since she left. All those who believe she is a victim of a miscarriage, would you be happy if she was left looking after your newborn?

She has creeps like David Davies supporting her who’s probably wanting to be thanked in underwear.

You can portray any work environment anywhere like this if you try.
