I think the issue there was the embargo on overseas players. Suarez is married to an Italian lady and sought a passport to clear the way for a lucrative move. The authorities werenât biting and insisted on language proficiency. Luis of course hadnât a word beyond Euro and mucho but opted for the test anyhow.
Whatâs missing though is the fact that a bung was offered to the examiner who blew the whistle and hence Luis had no option but to departivo or whatever.
So heâs left to munch on someone in the Spanish league for another season.
He wonât be heading out for a bite in Italy just yet.

I think there was more to it than that. He seems to have been caught up in an ongoing investigation where the school was selling passes in the test and thereâs many more like him who got away with it
Perhaps he should have contacted one or more of the mĂșinteoirs here who might have squared the circle but you have the jist of it there. I knew it was something dodgy.
