I dont agree. His inability to answer questions, or mumbled answers made him look dishonest or trying to hide something to the jury i thought. But ill look it over again, it was mid binge so perhaps you are right.
Are we ever going to see justice served lads or will the story fade away over the next few weeks! Once game of a thrones is back on no one will be talking about this. I fear poor Steven and Brendan are gonna be yesterdays news fairly soon and still stuck in prison.
I thought this interview with Ken Kratz was quite funny.
“If you were gonna sext me, what would you send?”
D’Arcy will make some cunt of this
“Do you think your lack of likeability cock-blocked your case?”
I just finished it, was slow in the middle but ended strong. I’ve read over the whole thread there now for the first time and my thoughts for what they’re worth are (not bringing anything new to the table here).
Did Steven Avery do it? I’m unsure either way. I’m leaning probably 60/40 in my head that no he did not. Was there enough to convict him? No.
Then who killed her? Definitely one of the clan. I also had suspicions around Scott Tadych and Bobby Dassey (Bobby to a lesser extent) because they were both shifty, their alibis only cleared each other, Tadych had clear grudges or had disagreements with Avery which gave him cause to set him up after the awful deed, he/they would know the cops would be only too eager to pin it on Avery. Also the two lads clearly had much more brains and savviness than Avery and Brendan. Tadych has a history of extreme violence towards women
Brendan Dassey certainly did not rape or kill her, I am sure of that. He is a simpleton who was just a child who only wanted to play his nintendo in those days. Is he aware of who did? I think he probably unwittingly stumbled upon something or heard something and probably became an accomplice in perverting the course of justice. In this case he may have been privy to what Scott/Bobby did and they put the fear of god in him so much that he thought his life would not be worth living again if he ratted them up. He appeared all the way through to have something weighing on his cobscience. Unfortunately he hung himself out to dry in his initial police interviews where he admitted to everything and whatever he did on the stand after was too late and not enough to save him.
Good post and as good an end to this thread as is possible. Unless new evidence comes forth we will never know with any certainty who did it, but a balanced review of the evidence suggests the perpetrators did a good job covering their tracks and fingering Steve Avery. Brendan Dassey was probably collateral damage.
I missed the part where Avery got fingered… Fucksake, just when you thought the thing couldn’t get anymore fucked up.
Belatedly signing in.
Decent show, IMO there was more than reasonable doubt but whatever about Steven that other simpleton Brendan had nothing to do with it. He was/is as thick as a plank - couldn’t have had anything to do with it. Think the case was a bit like Graham Dwyer to an extent - jury must have felt pressure to convict when there was widespread public belief that they did it.
My main points anyway…
-
that Ken Kratz is some prick, the Michael Jackson voiced cunt. Knew he was a wrong 'un all along. Glad karma got him.
-
Stevens parents seem good people. Yeah white trash etc but I think there was some genuine decency and humanity in them.
-
that Mike Hallbach is a right cunt.
-
Manitowic county needs a Maurice McCabe type figure to sort out Lenk, Colborn and co.
Probably best not to overthink it too much, two lads in jail for crimes they probably didn’t commit. Rough.
Anyway I’m off to start the new season of House of Cards now.
Huge news. Hopefully he takes those cops to the cleaners.
That worked for his uncle.
Home in time for Summerslam please God.
I think he is safe enough now
good stuff, still not convinced the other fella is innocent though
As long as he’s guilty of being innocent that’s good enough for me.
Whatever about the cops, his attorney should be fried. Still convinced he knows something of what went on that day, probably protecting someone else.
Brendan has just released a statement upon the overturning of his conviction - “ummmm, yeah.”
