Malta are shite. Theyāre committed to playing out from the back but are unable to progress the ball beyond the initial Irish press. Theyāre a slightly worse version of us. Ireland arenāt even pressing with much structure or intensity and they keep winning the ball back deep in Maltaās half. For all that, we havenāt created any big chances despite winning the ball back in promising positions. Just a few crosses and cut backs that didnāt reach the intended target.

Weāre actually very poor against these types of sides that sit off us, weāve no players to take opposition on and make an opening, too easy to defend against

Body language is awful alright. I was thinking the same thing. As has been said, the coaches that keep resigning probably made sure we were set up way competently (at times) despite the lack of individual quality. Now weāre a rabble with a lack of quality. Thereās no combination play. Even where players move in relation to the ball and each other. The spaces between the lines. Itās absolutely brutal.

Itās all over for Kenny Iām afraid to say. All the positivity and spark that was there in June against Scotland has completely gone and the players have downed tools, shite and all as they are anyway. Weāve seen the same at the end of the last few managers reigns and itās similar to the final days of the last few man united managers tenures too. They might not sack him but itās fucked.
