I was surprised Big Sam took the West Brom job. It was a fairly bleak survival prospect and as you say bar Johnstone in goal and Pereira they are a championship team playing in the premier league. A pity he didn’t get longer with Newcastle back in 2007 as I think he could have achieved something there (although maybe not when Mike Ashley is owner).
