On behalf of TFK and Aston Villa fans everywhere, I would like to thank Dean Smith for what he has done for the club. Mr Smith’s tireless hard work and devotion to the cause was recognised everywhere where claret and blue is worn, except in the London Stadium or Burnley or Scunthorpe. He will be remembered as one of the men who saved the Villa, when the club’s very existence seemed to be on the line. He leaves the club in an immeasurably stronger position than where he found it. I wish Mr Smith every possible success in the future.
