Managerial Merrygoround Thread

Imagine being marooned on a desert island with those twats.
I looked into Barton’s past history there recently - unpleasant reading.

Some of those high-performance athletes have short fuses you’ll find.

Think Rossiter was with Rooney at Derby and he was the brains behind it. Maybe that’s a wrong spelling.

No, Liam has a fairer completion

As I start this post I’m listening to the latter stages of yet another assured interview by Liverpool manager Arne Slot. I thought to myself wouldn’t it be something if we had a Liverpool v Feyenoord European Cup final this year with Slot facing his former club.

I thought to myself that Feyenoord had a great win over AC Milan there in the week and Slot clearly left them in a good state for his successor to inherit.

I wondered who that successor was. It turned out it was Dane Brian Priske. But Mr Priske was sacked by Feyenoord on February 10th despite leading Feyenoord to progress in Europe. They beat AC Milan without a manager.

Feyenoord have just appointed their new “head coach”. It’s Robin Van Persie, who earlier this season presided over a 9-1 defeat for Heerenveen against AZ67 Alkmaar, with Troy Parrott scoring four goals.

This will surely work out very badly for Feyenoord although Van Persie may end up being appointed by Leicester City once he’s done failing with Feyenoord.

Watford. Never not at it

They must spend a fortune on paying them off

When there were in the Premier League they seemed to have a policy of changing managers every season whether they did well or not.

They had a few managers who did relatively well and then got the chop at the seasons end.

Them sacking Nigel Pearson back in the day was as unfair of a sacking as I can recall.
