Manchester United 2025/2026

They’re playing Liverpool at home on Sunday sure. There’s still 2 home games to play.

I think there’s a one year extension coming he’s not taking it.

Andy mitten said he’d agreed a deal with an mls club a few months back.

It’s a huge pity because man united need to sign at least two central midfielders and two new full backs plus maybe one striker.

It means more…

They’d get Baleba now for max 40m whereas they were looking for 80m last summer. It doesn’t look like they’ll go for him and maybe dodged one there. I’m not sure about Anderson or Wharton. Casemiros replacement is a very crucial signing to get right.

Ah, Wharton is surely the one, he’s class, maybe the forum’s pre eminent footix @neilld can confirm?

Did United ever look seriously at Michael Olise? It’s a mystery how one of the big English club nabbed before Bayern Munich came in. He was on fire for about two years before they came in for him and now looks in the top 5 players in the world on current form.

Agreed on Wharton. Well if I’d to take one of Baleba, Anderson or Wharton to Old Trafford it’s Wharton for me. Just wondering if there’s anyone else.

Wharton is a wonderful player, maybe slightly underpowered but would make up for that with increased positional sense as time goes on. They’ve been burnt so many times lately with lads that don’t have it physically; Antony, Sancho, Hojlund that they’ll get a big strong fella I’d say.

Think he was always going to Bayern or one of the Spanish clubs from what I remember

Good to get the win on Sunday although it looked fairly shaky from the bits I saw. Hope you’d a good day out in my seat @Wexford1996 .
I couldn’t be in 2 places at once so Ennis took precedent… :grimacing:

Heard of at least 30 people (majority over from Ireland) done out of their money for tickets. (There’s probably more.) All by the same fella that shares the name as a former Cork centre back from the barrs. Originally from Tramore but he’s over in London now. He would have built up a decent reputation over the course of the season in sourcing people tickets so he was “trusted” until Sunday.

Some disaster if you arrived over in Manchester and no tickets especially if you brought over kids. He was taking the money for the game for tickets that didn’t exist. Was easier for him to get tickets before Christmas when things weren’t going great I suppose. He must have cleared 4 grand which doesn’t seem worthwhile considering the number of people that would be after him now…

Buying off a tout on the day wouldn’t have been an option for those that were caught out either as they were going for 400£ plus. Heard of pairs going for £1k in the Stretford End…

Andy mitten told a great story about Casemiro doing sit ups in the sauna.

That’s the attitude you need to succeed.

Not playing the PlayStation all day.

Lads getting a bit too excited about Casemiro. He was overweight and dogshit for about 18months of his time at united.

He has been good this season but lads here thinking he got in shape for United need their heads checked. He is doing it for Brazil and the World cup. United just getting the upside of that.

You need to be very careful about who you get your tickets off… some right dodgy bastards around…

You’d want to be some moron to pay €1000 for a pair of tickets to see a game with fuck all to play for

He’s right up there with the da silva twins as my favourite united players.

Shows the priorities when it comes to the youth teams of the two clubs I guess.

A lovely. I knew this would land in due course.

I guess City just have to prioritise winning Premier Leagues for now, the Joie will do just fine.

They couldn’t be playing in Old Trafford or the Etihad and be shown to be hugely outnumbered by Man Utd supporters, I suppose - thus the insurance on the considerably smaller stasium
