Manchester United 2025/2026

Ballon d’Or wrapped up

First game of the season I’m missing and looks like mounty has been outstanding.

This new keeper is a potential game changer (cc @neilld, @BruidheanChaorthainn, @Copper_pipe, @Horsebox).

A very competent debut for Lammens

Weekend saved

Hes shit.

Great start for him a clean sheet, that’ll take some pressure off. I only watched the match in fits and bursts, it didn’t look like he’d much to do?

Does this mean the lad cuts his hair?

I’ll give my summary tomorrow.

I need to focus on making this flight home.

No hurry pal.

Get a four pack of RS for the journey

I saw about as much as you I’d say, but he gave a positive impression at the leats

I knew when I saw Amorim in that jacket that United were going to beat Sunderland.

Up to 9th now - only 4 points away from 3rd spot.

Amorim most definitely IN……

It’s more how assured he looked than what he did. He made 2 or 3 saves that you’d expect a decent keeper to make. It was how he commanded his box & came out through traffic to take a few dangerous looking crosses. His exuded authority & reminded me of a young Courtois.

A decent day Man Yooing yesterday mainly fuelled by Red Stripe.

Lammens put in a good display. The Stretford End was cheering his catches as if United had scored a goal, which says a lot about what they’ve been accustomed to seeing in recent years. ā€œAre you Schmeichel in disguise?ā€ He made a save in the first half and put the ball out behind for a corner. If that was Onana the ball would have been kept in play and landed at the opposition strikers foot. He went long 33 times and Sesko got himself on the end of a good few of them. The penalty they were awarded vs Chelsea came off the back of another long ball to Benji so it seems to be working well so far.

Amad and Yoro were decent. I reckon Dalot wouldn’t get as much game time if he wasn’t Portuguese. Very frustrating to watch.

Long throws are back in fashion and Sesko did well to time his run for his goal. His link up play was good too.

Our seats have been converted to Safe Standing so @Juhniallio will have a railing to lean on when he feeling the effects of standing for 85 minutes the next time he takes our tickets.

Made savage time home to even see the highlights on MOTD in the pub.

John Egan and Chiedozie Ogbene were on the same flight home and both opted to pay the extra few euro for the legroom in Row 2. Denis Irwin who was also on the flight didn’t fork out for the extra legroom.
