The €140m worth of transfers for Ajax must have been part of the deal.

They might need it down in division 2 when Erik takes them back over

The natives have turned restless. Theres a lad in McDonalds here on the parkway with his little girl announcing to the place in general that he
“Can’t fcukin believe that ten 'aaag 'asnt been fired this morning”, that “rashford is a prick” and “ci’eh are fcukin laffin 'a us”
The little girl was dressed in her school uniform and was neat and clean, but seemed to find this whole thing both entertaining and standard behaviour.

Crikey. I didn’t watch it but :flushed:
I still think they’d be foolish to sac ETH for the next flavour of the month.

Martial succesfully got out of the way of another in the second half. It was an utter turgid mess. The players dont look to be playing for him at all. Very poor effort from many of them. Presume its fallout from the various inner squabbles with sancho etc. I don’t see the point in sacking him either. Dont see who would improve the mess.

It should be easy enough to improve morale though. Any half decent manager could do that. Getting them back at a European elite level is a different bag.
Genuinely ETH is a decent man, though the greenwood affair was both disappointing and strange. Ange would be an option, as the fans demand both success and entertaining football, which can be mutually exclusive, or are certainly often uncomfortable bedfellows.
I think the board should fully back ETH and clear out the troublemakers. It’s either that or another manager, and that hasn’t worked. Shouldn’t have fired OGS imho, but they should lie in the bed they’ve made now.

Big Sam would improve morale instantly

He’d get them to 40 points easily

Sam woulda worked with Ralf too and not ran him out the door

IS it too late to beg Conte to take over?
