Liverpool have managed without Alisson, Trent, Jota, Matip, Thiago and Robertson for large swathes of the season. Salah was out for the guts of 3 months between AFCON and his injury. Szoboszlai missed a fair chunk of the season with injury too.
I would say those players are better footballers and bigger absentees than Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Martial, Lindelof and a veteran Casemiro. Varane has been injured but even when he was available Ten Hag was selecting Johnny Evans ahead of him.
Stop. Varane is our best centre back he’s just crippled.

Cheers mate, did you know Ethan Wheatley and Louis Jackson were the 305th and 306th graduates used in this 4,253 (soon to be 4,254) game run respectively.
Interestingly young Ethan bagged himself a brace last night as the academy U18’s clinched the Premier League Cup over their much vaunted cross city neighbours.
This to add to their Northern Premier League title won with two games to spare last week.
A playoff now against the southern champions to look foward to.
