Manchester Utd 2023/24 (Part 1)

The owners have had more than a small hand in the decision making. United would be a different club with them.

These owners were lauded by banquo repeatedly. He praised them and asked the fans to back them and creamed off their wealth.

Utd’s spend on players has been astronomical

The few million on deals for Phil Jones etc isnt a material issue. £250 million on Anthony, Sancho and Maguire is the issue. £250 million pounds.

The owners have backed every manager. £130 million in Wan Bissaka and Maguire. Fucking hell. Ole picked them, the way ETH picked Antony.

Anthony will prove to be a very good player

No one is arguing that. Club debt was used to recruit players with no plan or football ethos put in place. Woodward overspent on players abd wages during Van Gaal’s tenure and they’ve still barely recovered from it.

Steps in the right direction under ETH, it took them ten years to learn to trust the manager.

Again, it’s Utd’s credit facility that is being used, not the Glazer’s money.

@croppy_boy expects the the Glazers to walk away for the sake of the lads watching the games.

I expect them to walk away because they don’t know how to run a club and all theyve been doing is heaping debt onto a club on an ongoing basis

He is excellent on ball retention but he is not explosive enough to be a top level modern winger, the same as Sancho.

This is the difference youre seeing with Garnacho, he has the raw power to go past players. Antony is a strong kid in fairness to him, and a lovely passer. Sancho is a brilliant footballer but just completely deficient physically.

Sancho needs to look at getting hard fit and try to move infield like Bernardo Silva did. Antony needs to try and learn from Grealish, who is alsobrilliant at retaining the ball. Only issue is Grealish is a more gifted dribbler, Antony’s selling point could be his finishing potentially.

You expect to walk away without making a profit?

But despite all of this, it has never stopped them spending. They should be far more competitive.

Would Man City have spent that money on Antony and Casimiro? No. 150 million there.

Madrid went out and bpught Camavinga and the other good French kid for a combined 60 million.

Camavinga cost about the same as Donny.

Ronaldo?

It is very hard to justify a lot of what United have done.

I never said that. My post was critical of the qay they’ve run the club.

I’m seething at the way they’ve been allowed to do this.

The irony in all of this is that if they’d run the club half properly they’d probably be walking away with even more money.

Seething how the owners have run their own business?

Yes.

You’re crazy
