Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️ (Part 2)

I read it earlier it’s rare I read the Leader but it grabbed by attention. I thought it was needless tittle tattle like you’d get in the Sun newspaper. I’m sure the family have been through enough, to lose a 38yr old mother because she went to Turkey to get implants into her arse is bad enough besides it being splashed all over the front of the county newspaper that she’d also had a lot of cocaine in her system which contributed to it according to the coroner. She has four kids according to the article the oldest of which is 18. It’s a private matter. It did come across to me in very bad taste reading it.

Agreed
Young people die all the time, it’s not front page news
Shame on the Leader here, gossipy oul shite

The leader had a headline last week.

“Search for missing child called off after significant update”

Child was found like. Fairly tacky using that for clicks

Limerick city council have spent €62k boarding up 28 houses in the last year.

€2k+ per house to provide and fit a few bits of chipboard. Wicked dear….

They spent 120k on Food Festival that nobody knew was happening.

They pulled funding from an established festival that was costing 25k per year, run by a volunteer committee, to create something “better” themselves and it ended up an absolute shambles.

They should never have got rid of the chips with gravy van.

What food festival was that?

All the head trauma from the corrupt Limerick bouncers

Exactly.

They got rid of the Pigtown Festival and ran a half arsed "Flavours of Limerick " festival, which was a total flop.

The one where all the lads met up and divided up the 120k!

Lot of stuff on Twighlight Thursday last night but I didn’t get out to it.

Tried to be more inclusive because Muslims would be offended by pigs… that’s the world we are living in now thanks to soppy cunts like @backinatracksuit crying. We have to bury our culture

That completely passed me by, and it was only in September :man_shrugging:

I don’t think I ever partook in the Pigtown festival, it was a great play alright.

Don’t worry it bypassed everyone. That was the issue.

Crew is to close after Christmas. A blow to all the beer snobs

That’s a pity. Apparently the removing of the parklets by the council was the final straw?

That’s shite. The council are absolutely brain dead.

That’s what I read. They’d become an “insurance issue” apparently. Council too busy squabbling with the Mayor to be of any use

For craft beer you want hipsters.
Treaty has a great trade in hipsters.

Crew attracts hippys. They smell and they bring greyhounds which also smell. And they have no money and they just sit around smoking weed blocking up seats.

That said it was always busy enough in there. Obviously not spending enough money though.

Be a loss. Was a nice alternative to the usual. Wouldn’t have been a regular visitor, but if I had a few in from out of town I’d always bring them to show them something different

The parklets haven’t been maintained and are rotting. My understanding is the council want to rip them out and replace them with wider footpaths which would make sense in fairness.

Some waste of money those parklets.

For the 2nd day in a row I’ve been alerted to a watering hole to avoid in Limerick.
That 2 on the Pubs to swerve in Limerick. Costellos and Crew.

Rationale; Dreadful toilets and smelly greyhounds and their owners. Valid reasons.
