Whatās expected to happen to the five Gardai if found guilty of their offences? I know one of the barristers said in court that OāNeill is the common denominator in all the charges, or something to that effect anyway. OāNeill is retired isnāt he?
He is now, yes. If any of them are to get a (suspended) sentence of any description, itāll be him first. One of the other defendants is his partner.
I only dipped in and out of it but doesnāt he have 25-30 separate charges or alleged ābreachesā theyāre looking at while two of the others on the stand only have one or two alleged breaches/charges each?
Could the currently active Gardai in the case be sacked over this if jury finds them guilty?
Thereās a few people possibly about to pay a heavy price for letting a few local sports people off of minor driving offences totally maybe ā¬80 and 3pts on their license.

They do, but particularly if reposing at home Iād say the wake would be a fairly timid affair. A lot of stern faces, head-nodding and loud sighing but fuck all Jameson. A funeral home is unlikely to turn away business on religious grounds now is it?
