Iām willing to cut him a bit of slack, city wasnāt going well long before he got there. Plenty of money in the Midwest, just have to think of how to bring em in. The River fest last year the day of the Great Limerick Run in May, the town was rammed and looked very well.

The one thing about The GLR is itās a private event and itās saving Riverfest. If it wasnāt for that thereād be nothing of interest happening. Same few things every year. Theyāve also been absolutely blessed with the post run weather, the place has been absolutely hopping from 1pm to 6pm.

Busiest Iāve seen town in years Iād say. Brings an awful lot of people indeed. They picked a great date for it, and itās people wanting to drink and eat after running a marathon.
They have indeed been poxed though and it needs a bit more. Iām just a barstool Footix though? What should we do? Expand the market or the food offering on Wickham street? Maybe the thing in Cleeves which is near the river at least. I was against that but Iāve come around
Itās the small things that make itā¦ put up a canopy on a part of cruises street and set up a street trad sessionā¦ youād get students or locals whoād literally do it for nothing.
They should have a few auld boat races on the river too ffs. The guards/ firemen/ Treaty utd/ retired GAA heads - Dec Hannon, Tom Condon and their partners would be a great teamā¦ just make it a bit of craic and get a crowd involved.
Some makey up Celtic goddess parade to celebrate the hsrvest. Get a load of little ones and a few hippies on mushrooms to put on a little parade and street party at the endā¦
Thereās countless low cost things you can do - just get the community involved. Most people just want a vibe rather than a giant granny around every corner
