Well that’s hardly true given how McDowell has used the independent newspaper group in the past as his favourite method of leaking stories.

Is McDowell not in cahoots with Sam Smyth though, who happens to write for the Indo?

Indo must realise that the picture hardly paints him in a good light…

He is indeed very much in cahoots with Sam Smyth. I’m sure someone at the Indo realised what they were doing but it is a little surprising.

In fairness though i dont think it will do him that much harm, people will just see it as a funny photo.
