They are hardy boyos alright, they are fearless. Iā€™m told they are one of the few lads who will take on a mink if they come across one.

I wish Pukeā€™s dog all the best.
thanks SS**, it means a lotā€¦I only saw the creature fleetingly but the lad with me would know his stuff and was 99% sure it was a pinemartin, he was big enough the fuckerā€¦

He informs me that they are vicious enough fuckers alright and would have no problem going through 3/4 inch ply to get into a chicken coopā€¦

Any update on Lohanā€™s condition Puke?

I was toiling manfully this afternoon to raise funds for his vetinary bills by standing outside the Railway Hotel shaking a bucket with loose change at passers-by. What i have will be put in the fund.

You wouldnā€™t be the first fella to stand outside the Railway Hotel shaking something at passers-by

TFK Astro Team, 2009 Summer League Champions, will donate a signed jersey for auction. This can be picked up at Limerick train station tomorrow evening.

Something to cheer you up Puke.

Did ye hunt down the Pine Marten after Puke?

Iā€™m happy to donate a score to Lohanā€™s fighting fund, do you paypal?

No, we had to get the dog out of there and seek medical attention ASAPā€¦Donā€™t know about hunting the fucker, he would be hard to find up in the Cratloe hills, wouldnā€™t like to be taking him on in his own backward

mmmmmmmmm, Roadkillā€¦

I should hope it was roadkill as the Pine Marten is a protected species on this Isle.

Note to all trappers. Wildlife Ireland recommends that trapped mink are best dispatched by a single air rifle pellet to the head once trapped. This prevents damage to the cage which would occur if you blast the mink with a shotgun. Lethal injection is also ruled out as the fcukers would eat the hand off you trying to subdue them.

Full guide to the mink menace in Ireland is outlined here.

One of the vicious bastards with a chick.

I hear theyā€™re setting aside one million euro to tackle this menace

Really? I suppose thatā€™s guilt for you. Their creepy friends caused this menace in the first place by ā€˜liberatingā€™ these killers on the wildlife of Ireland.

They are actually building mink traps on BBC1 right now. I kid you not. The English know the score.

My grandmother god rest her had mink scarf the same as this:

There must be a niche in the market again especially in this economic climate for an enterprising young man to start producing and selling theseā€¦

Iā€™d be a buyer, Dunph. Anything that promotes the killing of mink is a good thing.

The most tragic thing I find with this is the effect theyā€™ve had on foxes in some parts of the country. These things are killers on a whole different level to the poor fox, with the result being starving fox cubs and declining populations. I remember myself and the younger brother came across three orphaned and obviously starving fox cubs when we were younger and itā€™s an awful sight.

Have seen a few emaciated cubs around over the last few years alright, not sure if the mink is totally to blame but it could be. Probably not enough control of foxes around at the moment either. The moor hens are getting an awful doing from mink if numbers around us are anything to go by.

I failed to catch anything in my mink trap, the fuckers, but Iā€™ve since figured out in was a neighbours dog that was doing the damage.

The only population on the increase around my area are the hares. Youā€™d never have seen many up my road but the past year Iā€™d rise one nearly everytime I went for a walk with the dog.

I thought this thread was going to be about Irish Models and their feuds. :frowning:
