Fair dues to Tipp. How come they are making such strides in underage football in recent years? Is there one man to take credit for it or was there a big universal push from the county board to improving it?

Development squads. Players who show promise at an early age join their divisional development squads & that’s where the work begins.
In fairness, a large % of clubs in Tipperary try to play both codes to a reasonable standard. Players who show more graw for either code can progress on, thankfully.
Co Board in fairness have supported the Football squads a whole lot better than say, 15 years ago.
Not the first time that Kildare team have had discipline issues at the end, or even during a game. They had more than a few incidents in games this year, the most notable getting a 2 game ban from playing at home in championship, a 3 game suspension for a player and an accusation of biting an offally players ear in an all out brawl earlier this year. Not sorry for them to see them out now.

There’s always been good footballers in Tipp and i suppose it’s only recently they’ve decided to start harnessing it properly. Good on them.
