More GAA Shame

Played illegally for in a development league from what I remember. 11 a side competition. Was absolutely pointless.

Yes. Na Fianna are currently renting that land.
I thought it was Gannon that bought the land from.Parnells - I think it was earmarked as an airport car park

It was against us - himself and a lad from Antrim were flown in for it. Shore scored a heap of frees and the other ringer got a goal to win by 4 or 5

It was a bit of a farce - think we played 15 a side the same day but it was a development comp and if teams had 11 it could be played 11 a side.

It was one of two high profile 48 week bans I was involved in that year

Oh yes. The mercy committee were busy that year. No way Shore should have been reinstated. Just flew over for cash

Poor Wolly sounds a bit embarrassed

Ryan has managed/trained/coached 32 All-Ireland winning Ladies Football teams.

Its a bit like Mrs Barnes winning the Community games puc fada when they were the only house in the parish that owned a hurley.

What did it say, he deleted it. He’s shipping a nice bit of abuse on X

He said Cluxton lived in the apartment with the recruits for years and sent the letter about 5 years after the club started their transfer policy and the debt was piling up.

Frank Gleeson is a massive hitter in the hospitality world. Think he runs/ran aramark for europe

He also has quite the neck, it seems

Everyone involved in that club has quite the neck it seems.

You’d think he’d understand paying the Revenue so?

Indeed. Makes the whole matter worse

At Topaz and Aramark Frank would have had big back office teams and the best advisors to look after this stuff. At Parnells there was no back office and the advisors were more than likely of the lemonade stand variety. Probably fellas in the club doing a turn for the club. That’s one of the reasons a GAA club shouldn’t be doing a multi million euro land development deal. They don’t have the expertise in house and they won’t buy it out house.

Shouldn’t be?

No move on it yet. Probably nattering with a fellow elder waiting for the bus.

Images of creamy pints may or may not substantiate this rationale……
