Checked out this angle the other day with a solicitor friend. Gaining money from whomever by ‘false pretence’ is a criminal offence.

I make this observation in general, not as regards any particular case.

Big Phil seemingly said, no problem, send me the bank details of the US hospital and Consultant and I’ll wire the money direct. That’s the last Big Phil heard of it. There’s no flies on Big Phil.

He was a KK Selector for all of 2020, was golfing with Mcilroy and Johnny Sexton at the Irish Pro Am in summer 2021 and then coached IT Carlow in winter 2021/22.

Doesnt leave much time to be faking trips to the US for treatment.

Coincidentally his treatment in America happened around the time he lost property and had troubles with loans. 2015

I have a very vague recollection of him saying in an interview before the 2017 Fitzgibbon Cup Weekend that he was over and back for treatment to the States but he was able to fit it in around the Fitzgibbon. If he only went looking for the money in 2021/2022, having been making up a story for years beforehand, its all kinds of odd.

That sounds like a very KK conceived rumour type. On the old Dublin road opposite where Ollie used live? Not sure if I’d like that to be true or false, being honest.

I’m not sure he even has a roof anymore if some of the stories are to be believed coming through close to home.

I reckon foks kept counsel out of loyalty, gratitude and hope until now but it’s going to get uglier and he has nobody when it all boils down.
