We haven’t gone away you know
That’s a lovely afternoon’s football.
Celtic, SRFC and hearts all came through.
Huzzah.
What did we make of Bolingoli yesterday? I thought he was very good, one or two erratic moments aside.
Obviously he can’t play midweek now but I think he deserves a run domestically. He’s more to his offensive game for me than Taylor does.
Yeah he was good. Very naive for the penalty incident and a couple of poor passes early on but he got into the game well and was a threat on the overlap.
Interesting to see who we play on Tuesday.
I’ll be surprised if it’s not Ferencvaros
It’s good that we are getting bodies back. I think we have good depth in defence and attack now.
CCV and Starfelt aren’t good enough for me but will do for this season as I feel we have the goods in attack to overcome any defensive frailties at domestic level at least.
Hopefully Forrest will be back shortly and we then have 7 fit attackers. I think Ajeti’s time is up so if he goes then I’d like another versatile attacker in over the January window.
Midfield is our biggest worry, without McGregor we look in bother. I think Turnbull and Rogic it should be either or, we lack legs with both of them starting. McCarthy hasn’t looked up to it so far, Soro isn’t fancied by Ange, neither is Shaw and Bitton really is not starting material.
I’d look at two bodies in during January in midfield, one in attack with the likes of Ajeti, Soro and Shaw getting loan spells to get some regular football. Think loan moves might be better now for them to rebuild their reputation before we consider selling them. I know Soro can be a bit rash but I think he’s been a bit fairly overlooked by Ange to date when you consider some of the other peformers. Rogic and Turnbull have had some very bad games this season.
We’re on at 3.30pm on Tuesday because of the climate change conference in Glasgow. Police wouldn’t sanction a Thursday game and the move to Tuesday means it can’t kick off at the same time as the CL games that day. Hence the bizarre time, which is ideal for the WFH contingent. Scales might be in line to start alright.
