I disagree with Keane regarding Miller not being picked, that anti-Cork shite is a load of rubbish, seems like a grudge he’s carried since his underage days with Ireland when he frequently missed out on squads. Keane was being interviewed on Today Fm this morning. He made some very good points about the attitude of the irish team. I disagree with him on anti-Cork bias but no doubt in my mind that if he was in Ireland team (as a player or manager) now we would not be in our current predicement. It simply wouldn’t be allowed.

2. He hasnt really outperformed McCarthy at Wolves. McCarthy lost Naylor to Celtic and Lescott to Everton within a couple of weeks of taking over - neither of whom he could do anything about. He has had nowhere near the same money as Keane but he has built a team that are capable of getting promoted.

He thinks the Sunderland job is more important than the Irish job. If that’s the case than why bother commenting on the Irish situation at all?
