Perhaps, but then it would be a blot covering up a stain.
I enjoyed my time living in Wolfe Tone street and above the Hong Kong Chinese in Willliam street very very muchâŚ
One must experience all cities before throwing critisism.

Wolfe Tone street is a noble street in a noble city
Bobby Byrneâs & Charlie Malones
Very noble indeed. Drop into the Victoria club for a few quick frames of gas cooker before the final downhill walk into the hustle and bustle of helicoptor punching matches outside supermacs.

*if Mrs GSH is reading this then my wedding and honeymoon were the best days ever.
I have just realised that despite the bile being thrown at Limerick Rugby on this thread, the hatred seems to have fizzled out and itâs turned into a âLove Limerickâ thread.
All Munster fans and posters with noble ideas of Limerick should nail their colors to the mast.

I bet you were a terror for seducing the Mary Dry girls in Larry Murphys too
Someone left behind a perfectly fitting Munster rugby jersey in the changing rooms tonight, a place in which I wouldânt normally frequent also, so it was fair game.
I left it there.
A belated  .
I enjoyed my brief time living in nearby Barrack Hill myself, the old mural of Theobold Wolfe Tone on Bobby Byrneâs pub (mentioned above) was a constant source of oâerflowing patriotism which burns in the heart of every true Limerick man.
Not one Munster player in the Ireland Under 20âs squad! :o

Another noble establishment.
Yours in nostaligia,

So you just tried it on, took it off again and left it there
Wondered as much myself. Some people try too hard.
Love Limerick Hate Munster
Carter, where does this solo run money grabbing exercise by the English clubs leave the Heineken Cup? Could it have a big impact on Irish rogbee? Any chance of maybe only one âprovinceâ from Ireland being allowed in every year?
If Munster etc were wound up and the players were all dispersed back to real clubs like Young Munster, Con, etc the game could actually become attractive to non tossers down the road.
There are two fundamentally conflicting arguments with regard to the Heineken Cup, and both are legitimate.
The Celtic league teams have a massive advantage in terms of not having to qualify, being able to rest players, being able to target specific games against more tired opponents. Only a fool would not admit that that is one of the main reasons why Irish teams have done so well in this competition over the last decade and the English are dead right to point this out.
On the other hand, if Celtic league teams had to qualify for the European Cup on the same basis that English and French teams do, you would likely end up with no Italian representation and quite possibly no Scottish representation either. The whole point of the European Cup is that it is European (within the narrow scope for using that term in rugby) - ie that all six rugby playing countries/principalities are represented.
The only way I can see both arguments accommodated is by expanding the competition to 32 teams with 8 groups of 4. You could squeeze in a round of 16, or if it was decided there was no time for that, you could have only the winner qualifying for the quarter-finals which would mean that there would be no extra games.
It would dilute the quality of the competition a small bit, but it is the only way I can think of to keep everybody happy.
There has to be a risk of an ARL/NRL-style split here now? How do you sell rights for a competition that doesnât exist?
Donât know TBH iv been on holiday so havenât been following it.
The problem isnt with the Irish provinces because by and large they finish in what would be the qualifying positions anyways in the Pro12. Their real bug bear is with the likes of Edinburgh and Treviso who can win one or two league matches a year and still qualify for the HEC. The Eng and Fr clubs have relegation trapdoor so canât rotate players as much. They have a reasonable argument on that front in fairness.
They wonât leave HEC. Has driven up profile of the sport massively and is massive contributes to the money they are now commanding. Wonât be much cash on table for Aviva league if it is same 10 teams playing each other yr in yr out. The French league slightly different in that itâs not completely overshadowed by domestic football league and can rattle up decent TV income from terrestrial tv
is this true?
it could be the end for rogbee in Ireland
imagine Ireland with no rogbee or gga- it would be such a better place
Would agree with all this apart from last line. They all need each other really, too small a pool of top tier clubs to have two separate competitions.
Iâd also suggest the big Top14 clubs can rotate far better than the Irish provinces. When Leinster rotate they are putting out a far weaker side than Clermont or Toulouse would be if they played a second sideâŚitâs just the quality of teams at bottom of Pro 12 is brutal and beatable by any15 Mun/lein/uls would put out, at home anyways. The budget of French clubs dwarfs the provinces
