I thought smith was a good player in a squad not coming down with wing talent. Butler didn’t seem to be improving and wood coming through probably did for him. This tighthead is 36, they coulda nearly squeezed another year out of archer and or Ryan.
He is supposed to be scrummaging away in France to decent effect for last few years so he’s probably an upgrade. Australian looks exciting.
Archer is retired a full season.

Brookes can scrummage and I’d say isn’t costing a whole pile
Hopefully wood will get plenty minutes but Crowley will be away with Ireland plenty and they will need lots in that spot

I thought Bartley could improve. Surely a summer as a pro will be a huge help fitness wise.
Pity for him. Between him salanoa and Knox Munster really don’t have great luck with TH signings.
Back at Ulster next season after two seasons in french second tier . Interesting to see how he fares out
Jager was allegedly advised before this season to retire and the recommendation was allegely disregarded by multiple parties. Wish him all the best but you’d fear for a fella like him with his concussion history.
